    2008/09 = duke

    2009/10 = Vertical FT???

sheesh, won't have to ask for change anymore - just look down at the bindings and nod knowingly (and creepily)...

I'm already on the list from the previous thread....
When do you expect this to go down? A few weeks? A few months? I don't want to miss the PSA to send money or be skrewed, but I don't really want to keep checking this thread every few days to see if anything has changed.
    Thanks guys, you rock!

I'm probably about 70% likely to be in so I'll refrain from throwing my name on the list just yet.

When's the deadline going to be (roughly)?

Just a quick observation and question:

I was talking to a guide who is spansered by Dynafit up at WB over the weekend. He mentioned that Dynafit Classics are half the weight of Verticals and are just as bomber. He mentioned that he hits all types of steep coulis and chutes, they never blow up. Any chance on hopping the classic train?

They're not half the weight... they're 4oz less per binding. The classics have shorter pins than the comforts/verticals, which means they are less adjustable and prone to heel release. The riser post is prone to bending/breaking and is much more difficult to change positions than a comfort/vertical. The difference in weight doesn't outweigh the ease, strength, and design of the verticals.

the classics are alright, if you don't want to swap boots and aren't running brakes. If you want brakes + adjustability, you WANT the verticals

I'm one of those fence sitting jongs, I'd be down for a pair of Vertical ST's with brakes if the price winds up being right
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

I kind of assumed a way would be found... but if you have a way to do this, I'd be happy to pick up from you in Fernie (or pay you shipping + a sixer to forward my pair to Calgary). If that's cool with you?

    Deep pockets??
Pftt good credit, cool understanding wives and faith in maggots is all it takes.
The last I talked to Sfotex he was gonna try and shoot for ~ 100 pair. I'm gonna help him as best I can but the final decision on who gets in will be up to him.
So if I were a jong and wanted in I would do my best to try and contribute
    in the next month.
I understand people lead busy lives but if the guy putting togather the group buy can pull it off between daddy duty, SAR commitments, a climbing addiction and a "real job" five minutes of your day to post something doesn't seem like a lot.
I'm sure we can figure out a way to make things happen for Canucks.

When do you expect this to go down? A few weeks? A few months? I don't want to miss the PSA to send money or be skrewed, but I don't really want to keep checking this thread every few days to see if anything has changed.
    Thanks guys, you rock!
TGR, and especially SFOTEX would like to apologize for any inconvienence. please PM rontele. he is keeping track of those who don't like checking back every few days to save well over a $100, and will be sending out a PM when things are finalized.

I am in for a pair, but am deciding between the ST's or FT's. I scanned the thread but may have missed it. Was a price ever determined for the ST's?

Also, I haven't seen anyone wanting the 100mm brakes. Per backcountry.com, that size brake is available, correct?

There was a price quoted in gpetrics original thread but not in this one. The FT price in this thread is lower than in the original so we can only hope that ST price will be accordingly lower here as well.

Cool, thanks for the info. For some reason, he was quoting Verts as 500g and Classics at 250g per binder. I told him that I've heard of multiple people blowing up with Dynafit and he was dumbfounded by that statement. He was no salesman either, just a skibum/guide hippy dude who's been with Dynafit since the beginning. I'll stick with the Vert STs and see how they roll.
