but you're the one who skied with Janice...
Monday saw us trying to navigate a serious steep and narrow joint I dubbed Chokepoint Charlie (and it earned its name after I slammed into some rocks--need to work on my hop turns--and scored a serious charlie horse on my right thigh).
But back to the Wu. I gotta agree with Vets, this was by far the best/funnest/illest patch skiing I've done in my short time partaking in the sport. Attaching a theme to the day made it totally fun in a geeky/goofy way that is hard to explain, but made it classic and beyond memorable. Easily one of my all-time best days of skiing in over 30+ years.

Schralph did spin Paul's Boutique with random bravado whilst we were at Lassen over Mem Day, but me'n Vets will have to confab on a genuine MCA themed patch blitz before summer's end.

Had a sweet session on 4 of the 9 Wu patches today with Vets, G2A, and Rossi the Wonder Retriever. Snow was sweet summer corn. Still a solid amount of snow to be slayed up there, though the lines 666 took at the beginning of June are rather thin now...
guess we could call this trip Return to the 36 Chambers...since it's the first time i've skied more'n one of the Wu patches in a given day since our inaugural visit back in '09.Last edited by dookey67; 07-04-2013 at 11:42 AM.

I assume the ODB patch is gone Forever.

naw, just like the man his ownself, the patch comes and goes as it pleases, but is always present in essence.
in a sonically related nature, i'm not sure how i slept on this, though:

Out of stock. Go figure. This thread bump has me searching the CD rack. It has been too long since I've listen to an entire album. Think I might pull out the pillage for a listen.

this track was bouncing around inside my melon during our skiing session yesteday:
gotta wonder if ODB's off-the-cuff babble about two beef patties was in response to his capture at Mickey D's in Philly circa 2000.
also, this is supposedly the last appearance ODB made prior to his earthly demise.

I got my uzi back - you dudes is wack, face it the Wu is back - "Uzi (Pinky Ring)"
A Decade Of Sierra Wu-Tang Clan Patch Skiing
I hit up 1/3 of The Wu Patches this Tuesday (plus the Redman Patch), just a year and a few days from the inaugural Wu-Tang Clan Patches session. So I guess you could call this "The 10th Anniversary of The Wu in the Sierra."
ODB, GFK, Inspektah Deck, and Meth are currently all connected. Redman is a wee bit side hilly. U-God has an auxiliary patch next to it. Masta Killa actually had the smoothest snow and no hidden chambers. Lots of lines still out there!
Method Man Patch with lower part of Chef Raekwon Patch and Winnemucca Lake in the background.Last edited by dookey67; 08-16-2019 at 09:31 AM.

One of my best friends met wu tang about 15 yrs ago. Mid-winter night in Detroit, their van slide through an icy intersection stoplight and t-boned him on a back quarter panel. “Totaled” his old Audi. No injuries, and he got to meet the crew.

Something funny is I'll admit that I can't name a single member of Wu Tan Klan yet I have two of their albums on my regular play list device. I know what they sound like but don't know any of the main front mens' names..
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

Never heard of "Wu Tan Klan", is that some cheap cover/tribute band?
In terms of the 9, main members of the Wu-Tang Clan from Staten Island, just check the first post in this thread:

Are you on a spirit quest?
I mean you are channeling your inner East African unmarried Maasai or Samburu warrior, right?
That's some heavy ish, man!
