I don't wear a helmet
Grew up not wearing one. Maybe three percent of the time I wear a helmet. Didn't wear one one single time all last year. Don't judge me.

if you did not want to be judged, you would not have made that post

but you own a helmet ??? is that irony? ... clearly your undecided looking for reassurance. do you wear a helmet mt biking? road cycling? dirt bike riding? road motorcycling? or any form of motor racing? your helmet is of far greater benifit for the average punter in bound riding than out of bounds.

I bought my first helmet in over 30 years of skiing this year, and will be sporting it next season. I might be stupid, but I wanna hold on to what stupid I got !!

I have one but never wore it, until I slipped off a a box slide with some speed last year and landed on my head. Got fully concussed, saw stars, little wobbly getting up, etc. Wore my helmet every day after that.
Just look forward to learning the hard way.
We've won it. It's going to get better now. You can sort of tell these things.

i never wear a helmet in any sport i play until i start wearing one. then i wear it all the time.
but i do hold out as long as i can cause those damn things are so fucking hot. but if you have a helmet and not wear it thats even dumber than me holding. as far as skiing goes, this will be my first season with a helmet and i am not looking forward to it."Yeah, yeah. you buy Playboy for the articles just like I watch Brokeback Mountain for the scenery... wait, that doesnt work."

It is pretty disrespectful to the medical staff that spends hours trying to keep you alive after an accident.

In increasingly common occurrences of bone growth that goes ear to ear, wearing a helmet is simply redundant.
Same goes for those who can have a truck drive through the open spaces that are between the ears.

I highly recommend whitewater kayaking without one. Sounds like it's right up your alley.

I got a helmet a few years ago but didn't wear it at all last year because it was counterproductive- it blocked the golden halo aura that appears when I ski and I usually rely on.

I where a helmet because it makes me feel invincible. I am much more aggressive and do things that I never would do without a helmet. They free yo' ass and allow you to reach your full potential. Get one and wear it.
