    Info on Bath, UK?

Going to Bath next week for 2 days (arriving Monday early afternoon, leaving Wednesday midday). It'll be myself, wife, and kid (2.5-yr-old).

Would like seeing some old architecture (castles?), walks in the countryside. Staying in old Bath (on South Parade, near the train station). We won't have a car, so either walking or public transportation only.

Google only produces vague generalities. Any specific tips, places to visit, things to do (with the emphasis on being outdoors)? The only specific thing I have in mind is visiting the Herschel Astronomy Museum.

Bath is so named for its Roman Baths. I imagine those are worth a look. (Not having actually been myself).
