An athletic dog with a strong prey drive takes care of the rodents around here.

This one and the one before her have a few squirrels and many rats notched on their belts.

Family of Cooper's Hawks moved into the big tree next to our house. Squirrel population around "0" now, same for the rats that used to hang out in the compost bin. A little gross when we're eating dinner on the deck and one of the hawks is tearing apart a rodent about 70 ft away on the fence.

    Like people, squirrels are expendable.
In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).

Got rid of a dozen chipmunks in a week last year using have a heart baited with sunflower seeds. The sunflower seeds work much better than peanut butter and don't cause a mess.

With a modified choke and #6 shot they aren't blown up at all.
