    UK Mags: Train advice needed

So dg and I will be landing at Heathrow on Aug 21 and need to go directly to Cardiff that night. So for the rail line out of Paddington to Cardiff, there are these "Advance" fairs which I guess are cheaper than if you just show up. Do I buy these now over their site or should I just show up and buy at the station? Does it really make a difference?

Makes a fair difference to the price. You should be able to see the difference on the website, then you can evaluate for yourself if it's worth it.

The only problem is if the 'advance' fair is for a set time train, if you are delayed or early you could have a problem...

My only advice is to get drunk on the train. It's always a good time.

£44 Return on the coach. Leaves from Heathrow every hour, 3 1/2 hour journey time.

Saves you having to go to Paddington

This is a good point as the Heathrow Express (LHR to Paddington) is an even worse rip off than the shitty First Great Western outfit heading all points west.

And if you're heading to Cardiff brink your mtb gear. There are some class rides in the Afan forest and you can demo some half decent bikes for peanuts.
