"Trailer Park Boys"
Since the search function doesn't work anymore I can't tell if this has been brought up before, but this show is pretty much genius. I have a vague feeling I wrote something about it before but hey the search function's broken, sue me.
I guess it's set in Nova Scotia or maybe New Brunswick, although they don't really say, so really it could be about anywhere in backwoodsy Canada (or Maine for that matter). It's on a network called T101, about which all I know is that it's called T101. I assume it's Canadian, but I don't really know. Anyways, the show is cool and retarded and sick and stupid and great, check it out.

Loosely based in areas surrounding Halifax, Nova Scotia. They shoot at different parks in the area...

I was in love with this show and watch religiously the first 5 seasons and then phased out of it. Also happened to be the same time I stopped watching tv altogether and canceled my cable.
The first 3-4 seasons were the absolute shit. Genius.
I still want to make a driveway made of hash one day thanks to that show.

Actually i think they bought their own trailer park for filming after the first or second season. The actual trailer park locals for the first season got tired of blank shells being fired off at 2 in the morning.

I remember before the first show aired, they advertised it as an actual reality show (there's a fuckin' term for ya) and lead people to think that it wasn't actors. Of course, ten minutes into the first episode you knew it was a put-on, but even that joke was a killer!
Gold, pure gold. I grew up with burnouts, and the show captures them perfectly. I still have my Mountain Dew come spewing outta my nose on occasion watching it.

"PROPANE PROPANE!!!!!!"
"Sexy-man Julian"
-Mr Lahey
Paraphrasing Ricky:
"Sometimes good parenting is being hungover and feeling greasy, but still getting up at 9 in the morning"
Think I´ve seen the entire series two times, crazy good, and the one-liners never get old.

As Ricky would say "it doesn’t take rocket appliances" to find them. Check out netflix.
Or you can see most of the shows on you tube.
BTW -- Bubbles actually owns a joint (call it a club if you will) in Halifax called Bubble's Mansion. He is there a fair amount. Apparently he's kind of a dick but Ricky and Julian will shoot the shit with the drunks when they're around.Last edited by Obstruction; 07-02-2009 at 12:05 PM.

I remember first seeing it on TV at a friends' place when the first season was airing. I hated it and couldn't figure out what the hell was going on.
I caught another couple episodes, figured out the premise of the show and got into the characters and was hooked from then on in. The first 3-4 seasons are definitely the best. It was a love it or hate it cult classic in Canada, and now that it ahs hit netflix it's cool to see it gaining popularity elsewhere. They guys do live shows too which are a hoot.
You can check this youtube channel for full episodes of all 7 seasons: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59eZF...RQeruz&index=1::.:..::::.::.:.::..::.

Trailer Park Boys is a genuine piece of Canadiana, with nods to everything from The Littlest Hobo to Reveen. Brilliant and hilarious stuff. Kudos to Mike Clattenburg for taking taking it off the air while still on top. I re-watch the entire series every couple of years.
