I'd just like to say thanks for the killer thread. Great pics and vibe. I imagine you've sold quite a few people on South America (myself included).

I agree with an earlier post...Squirrel gets Stoke of the Summer Award! Great shots, great skiing, great dedication to providing stoke to all of us who just didn't quite make it to SA this year....next year....next year....

Classics now in my tape player, just for you:
Ice Minus: "Frostbite"
Paradox: "A Certain Sound"
Outfit: "New York"
I´m in the Damajuana now. Seven days of the biggest lines I´ve ever skied, in some of the best conditions I´ve ever skied, and I´m spent. There´s a lot of good corn left but it´s tough to get back to the poma by the Aries now that the traverse is melted out. I leave Mendoza saturday night, maybe I´ll see some of you here on the way out.

This thread is the primary reason that the urge to quit my job, rent out the house and go ski/boat/surf indefinatly has gone from a distant thought bouncing around my brain to a clear image burned into my vision. Mark my words...it will happen.

Again, jealous...especially with exposed ice and technical chutes...mmmmmmm. I'm off to New Zealand tomorrow night for a quick one week trip...they're getting some quality snow as I speak and we're locked in to atleast one day of heli-time, well....atleast that's all I can afford.

You guys slayed it. I knew when we staggered past Cletus and Arty in the BA airport, committed to things requiring our return that couldn't be put off, that they were on their way to The Ball.
I knew Spats had committed to spend that lil bit extra time to ensure the Santa Rosa would get harvested, and he stuck it clean with a warmup sidetrip in Nirvana. ...That SQ99 was just biding his time, and the Rev's prayers had been answered.
So, with all that having happened................
Where the fuck has dudele been hiding?

Okay, here we go again (more pics)
Eagerly awaiting Spats photo uploads as my camera doesn't always produce the best quality shots, but here goes anyhow. The first in a few post-trip photo uploads. Yes, BC-Flow got you earmarked as the 2005 photo-bitch, and girlski as the on-site thread correspondant with Powstash as our senior powder inspector.
Once again, the infamous wild horses with Cerro Lenas in the background
Marte Opener Liftline entertainment. Thank you random snowboarder.
Breaking one of the golden rules of no hiking on the first Marte powder day
(it had to be done, this line was begging for trrrrracks!)
I heart Marte
Looking out towards Chile from Top of Cerro Martin.
Some of us gringos looking on during our friends' long awaited movie premiere and slide show @ the Aries Hotel. First were worried nobody would show, but you'd be surprised what a boatload of Heinkken can do to increase attendance Thanks to Squeaky for putting it together and a nice retrospect to Jim Franklin and Jason Harper at the completion of the event
To those that new Jason Harper, here's a nice tribute shot that is now hanging on the wall at The Wine Bar in Atenas.
