The slide was way slow, if you look at the replay the long stick to his left, starts to head to his right, by the time he corrected, it was too late.
Glad you just said something re: the DII game, as I was just going to bring it up. DIII game was fun, good to see someone other than Salisbury or Middlebury win it.

Pretty much describes my two career goals. (Sadly, I was not really an integral a part of our championship....)
I watched the finals last night and enjoyed it... that OT goal was awesome. Scott Rodgers was amazing.... kept ND in the game till the end. Still have to watch the UVA/Duke game.
For the record, I did my part for Cornell and did NOT buy finals tickets or book a room in Baltimore. (I did look into it, though )Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!

Then what the fuck happened?
I think there was a general hex hanging over CNY this year without a single championship (other than OCC's NJCAA title) and only Lemoyne making it to their division's final. Cortland, Syracuse and Cornell all not making it any further than the semi final.

Just wanted to bump this up as last night I watched a real gem of Game.
In the Mass State Finals, St. Johns Beat Duxbury in OT. An amazing game between two very talented teams and I was very proud of my eagles getting it done.

Yeah Prep has killed 2 of Dux's 3 streaks - beat them to stop the in-state wins at 99 consecutive, beat them to stop the consecutive state titles streak at 6, but the streak of 9 straight championship games is still alive and that's pretty amazing too.
Congrats SJP, well-played, it couldn't have been any closer. Clearly the best two teams in the state this year and SJP earned and deserved the win. Happy that Dux closed the apparent gap from the loss earlier in the season to make it a nail-biter this time. Dux will be back next year!

since this was bumped I want to add that Longmeadow beat St Johns Shrewsbury in 4 OT to advance to the state d2 final saturday against Medfield.
but more importantly, the goalie son of MMP has won another CVYL Championship

thx BD. Medfield should be able to handle LM pretty well. We'll see though, this was a down year for us but have made a strong push at the end.

DU is getting embarrassed in the semis. We had a good run, but Virginia looks like they're playing a different sport. Hopefully they'll turn it around.

Somewhere Dave Cottle is tearing out his hair.

haha, well we'll see if Tillman can recruit, all of these players are Cottle's as far as I know, but right now I'm glad UMD made the change!
Div. 2 championship game at 4:00 on NCAA.com and maybe ESPN.com, don't know anything about either team (Aldelphia and Mercyhurst) or even why there is a Division 2, but the Division 3 game should be good, pitting last year's champ Tufts against the most successful program in DIII history, Salisbury State College (MD). Should be a barnburner. Not on TV as far as I can tell but also available online.

Maryland looks great... nice physical play. Amazing job against Duke and Cuse. Homefield advantage has got to fire them up.
Lots of UVA alumni relatives, but gotta root for Tillman's team seeing we graduated together. (Besides, they wear red, too.) Should be a great game.Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!

Yep. Can't say I knew or remember him, though.
Glad to see they've gotten this far. Be nice to see them win, especially being unseeded. But you're right, definitely won't be easy against UVA.Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!
