    Caguama in Midwest- specifically OH

Can anyone speak to how far East or North this stuff has made it? It made for a fantastic party/ flip cup beer when I lived in Southern California. At $10 per 30 pack it was quite a value with little to no headache the following morning.

Hoping someone on here can shed some light since the company website reflects the skills of a toddler drinking their beer...

    cheers

Never seen it around Cincy but also have never looked. The most likely place near SW Ohio would be the party source (859) 291-4007.

Their website says you can get it at Scotts, which are all over Northeast Indiana. I will take a look next time I go to the grocery store.

    Nice...

I called a few of the hispanic grocery/ convenience stores in the less than ideal locations and they said it's not here yet.

Unfortunately I'm in the Cleveland area so the Indiana options are a bit of a stretch.

Huh - Caguamas were "40's" of Carta Blanca back in the day - Ballenas were the big bottles of Tecate.

Last couple trips to Mexico found me drinking 'caguamas' of Pacifico, Modelo, etc. Like a 30oz bottle or sumpin, for 17 pesos. May just be that the 'ballena' term just got replaced by the caguama word, seemed like it was used for all varieties...

and no, i've never found them in the states.
But, back in the day, used to buy a case of Strohs quarts, for $.80/per. I'd sell 'em for a buck in the dorm, get a free quart for my efforts...

Tecate & Pacifico = Ballenas ("Whales.") The rest are Caguamas.

I stopped in there yesterday and asked if they had this on a whim. No go, said the manager, and it's not distributed anywhere in KY.

Kinda funny to find the one beer they don't have in a place that carries 2500 different kinds.

Worth a look at their website if you've never seen the Costco of booze. Oh, and it's all tax free booze too!

It's still nowhere close to Cleveland, but you might want to check out Jungle Jim's. They have one of the most extensive beer selections I've ever seen, including a lot of obscure and international brews.
I think that the human mind is unique among all other forms of life in that it can spontaneously create unique thoughts and provide unique behaviors. Instead of rewarding that uniqueness we, for some reason probably because of cultural and social necessity, we chastise unique behavior and reward conformity.
