The guy chooses In 'n Out for California?!? A fast food joint for one of the biggest foodie states in the nation?!?!
Mel's in Jackson, Burger Lounge in SLT, Mendo Burger in Mendocino... and that's just in my little world. I would imagine SF and LA have some prime burger joints.

How much did they get paid to pick those places. It is fucking criminal to pick In-N-Out over others... Ikeda's anyone? They have the best burgers in the WORLD and yet they didn't even rate on that list of grease shacks? The only silver lining I can see is that more people won't making me wait longer for good food, but Ikeda's deserves the credit.

Attached to a gas station or in a different building next to a gas station? If its attached to the gas station then that was the diner in Coram. Which has some kick ass greasy spoon breakfast's that have found their way into my belly after many a long backpacking trips.
Anybody ever try Five Guys Burgers? We just got one in Kalispell.

Boomer's in Bellingham is my pick, but a burger with duck in it has to be better, right?
