Maybe, but when you lose to the Twins, don't go crying you had no idea what "Double or nothing" meant.

Im going tonight and couldnt be more excited. First playoff game at the new stadium and Im fortunate enough to be sitting in a box with access to all of the good food (which apparently includes steak, sushi, dogs, burgers, cheesesteaks, etc) and tons of booze. With the group of guys that is bringing me, I expect to be posting in the hangover thread tomorrow.

So you're saying that if you don't like two barely-.500 teams playing poorly then you don't like baseball?

    Meh.

Right? If I wanted to watch mediocre baseball I'd watch a National League game.

It turns out "Garbage In, Garbage Out" doesn't just apply to financial models.

Not looking good, but we've been here before.

Wall Street Journal readers, check out the article on Joe Torre's press conferences on the front page of yesterday's (Friday) weekend section. I get a little mention in the article...

    Heh, Papelbum.
You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness, and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer.

Wow. Not often you see a guy like Papelbon have a complete blow up in that kind of situation. His line - 1 inning pitched, 4 hits, 3 runs, 2 BB. Ouch.

A question of decorum: Is this thread dead, and do we have to refer matters of the Yankees going ..... all .... the ...... .. way to the MLB thread?

Absolutely not. I refuse to join those tossers in the other thread. This is the Yankees war room.
