    TR: Zermatt 5/4-11/4

Pictures from a couple of Porta Nera descents and Breithorn Centrale. Good weather, nice snow, 'nuff said.

    Porta Nera

The Porta Nera with the Roaccia Nera on the left.

    Nice view.

Bit of light pow on the top section before pulling down into the variation under the Breithorn.

Huge ass crevasse at the top of the serac zone

    Rocaccia Nera North Face.

    Seracs

    Through the crevasses

    Yeah, fucking ace route.

Just before one of the nice steeper pitches.

    Pow

    Me having fun

    Some more scenic

Route goes from the col between the snowy and rocky peaks top left, down through the seracs lookers right and the trends down rightwards to the glacier. 2200m or something like that.

    Breithorn Centrale

    Booting up the Breithorn Centrale.

    View along the ridge

    Scooting down.

    Pow on the Klein Matterhorn

Nice run on a ramp between a couple of serac bands.

    Nice windblown.

Good fun. The crevasses were really beginning to open up at the top, maybe not long left in the run this season?

    Enjoy.

All the photos have come out like a fucking poorly shot porno because Facebook compression sucks.

Was there a few years ago in the summer - beautiful place with a ton of history. This makes me want to get my ass over there in prime time!

That first drop down off to the right after exiting the top station on Klein Matterhorn was ugly when Punani and I were there years ago. Half our pole plants went through the snow bridges we were skiing on and, looking in, we couldn't see the bottom of the crevasses.

You post this repeat at 11.39am? Give the guy a break, he's a student, he won't be out of bed until Neighbours comes on at 2 o'clock.
