Haines Alaska
day 1
wake up
hike
ski
day 2 storm day - head to the trees
day 3 cat day
get back in the silver box
interlude - had a bad bear hanging out this summer so the bear ended up in jars - which made some great bear-itos.
day 4 camera no workie day - it was good... maybe photos later from the other camera.
day 5 heli day
heading up we realized that neither one of us had been in a heli for anything other than work.
first heli run ever
for scale: there are people on the summit and a skier on the shoulder
zoom-in of the lookers right rib
we found some pow
then some more pow
how everyone felt at the end of the day
chillin at the pick up

Skinning in the trees
Up in Haines Pass
We spied an objective - the couloir lookers right
and skied it...though the clouds had rolled in by that time

Jeeezus H. Christ.
Everything about AK looks ridiculous. The crevasse in the 4th picture after "we found some pow" looks like a big bear footprint or something. Not like I'm gawking at pictures of the crevasses though, that skiing looks top notch! Was it blower the entire time?!

Dude you totally ate a bear.
Do you by chance happen to own a large, yellowish, very flat cat?
