We drove into SLC in the middle of this storm with skis and bikes. The intention was to ski a couple days, then head down to Moab and ride bikes for a few days. We skied, and it was deep, but got the itch to go ride bikes. We went ahead and checked out of the motel and loaded bikes onto the roof - our intention was to ski that day at Alta, then drive south that evening.

But it was too damn deep. We could not, in good conscience, pass up the opportunity to ski all that snow. We drove down the hill and checked back into the motel. Skied another 4 days of ridiculousness before we had to head home, tired and happy. Moab waited until the next year.

That was an incredible cycle. All of it. I was there and on my old double helix.....armpits. Truly one of the best days of my life.

Sad to say but same for me..Though I never forget the deepest and end of Feb 2017 had a top 3 no question. I got the LCC country club day.

This cracks me up: I was many hundreds of miles away on the last of Feb, 2017 and having the most memorable pow day of my life.

I bumped into friends in the parking lot, lost them again before the first run and didn't see them all day. We compared notes later and they didn't think it was top 10. I think they wasted their time in their usual haunts. Oh well, no friends on a powder day.
