    I like the spring too.
But now weve got rain straight for a week+ potentially, so no riding.

However, this rain is also bringing 20-30cm a day to the mtns which kicks ass. Too bad it was just confirmed, as I suspected, that my lateral meniscus is torn from an incident a couple weeks ago...

I went to my race team meeting and talked gear/team-deals last night.

I just ordered my race wheelset for my 29-er, Pink King hubs on Black Arches (wife let me buy wheels if she picked the color scheme), and signed up for our series.

I also just received word that the local 1k vertical ski area may open up a few dh trails this summer and become part of the gravity east series. All of a sudden thinking I might need a big bike, come into work today and find out that if I get layed-off I'll get a pretty good severance package... ie DH or FR bike.

All I know is that it is 70 degrees outside right now and supposed to be even warmer this weekend.

There is an absurd amount of dry trail right now for March and I'll be riding both days this weekend.

NlytendOne - Moving back to WV, I'll likely make it out to Deep Creek/Wisp this summer at some point. If you're back out this way by then I owe ya a beer for the traded seatposts.

I'll be back by mid-July after the Breck Epic and the Breck 100. I'll definitely be looking to ride down hills in Deep Creek this summer with the Morgantown crew. Also headed to the Shen 100 and some other stuff this year, too.

    I'll keep ya posted.

First I Street session of the year last night. Lots of riders out, including otter, phatfreeheeler, and Professor (who shredded lefty line like no thang after 12 years off the bike).

Going to Hawaii tomorrow to surf for 4 days.

    Spring is good.

Fuck me, finally got back out last weekend and got my ass kicked. I'm literally starting from scratch. I grannied and even walked more than I care to admit. The first ride was the best worst day I've had on a bike. But, when it was over I felt like a million bucks. It felt great to be on the bike again, but I've got tons of work to do. Even the downhill sections suffered cause I was so out of shape.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

1st ride of the year last night here. The lower trails are tracky and rippin'...I'm not ripping. It was good to get out and chase it with some awesome beers.

First ride of the year yesterday evening for me and I got my ass kicked! The lack of snow this spring is pretty unreal. Usually I've done my first ride around 4/20 once mud season gets into full swing, but the conditions last night were about 4-6 weeks ahead of what the last 5 years have been! If we don't get more snow this spring it's going to be a dry, sandy summer for our trails.

Sadly, most of the trails down here already look like middle summer.

We need some moisture. Any interest in riding this weekend?

^^^If my butt recovers , then yes

Saturday we're riding something either in Evergreen or Golden. I would bet we would do elk meadow or 3 sisters. I don't know how bergen peak is melting out, but my dad said the lower part is pristine with a few small drifts.

Sunday we're suppossed to do the dojoe at eldo, but it doesn't feel much like ski weather. I might be persuaded to ride. Either way we're bbq'ing afterwards at the house.
