    Roadtrip: Montana-Washington-AK

Anyone around Washington and Whistler next week? I want to go to Crystal, Baker, then Whistler. I was thinking Bellingham would be fun for St. Patty's day. I am rockin' solo. Couches or ski partners? Beer? My tentative is Crystal Tuesday, Baker Wednesday, Whistler Thursday/Friday, Turnagain/Girdwood/Hatchers whenever I get there until the beginning of April. Hope to see some maggots on the way!

I hope you are still planning on stopping in Haines. I would be stoked to get to ride with you again. Flying solo? I have a good group of my old bro's with an open seat (not just for anybody) and could most likely work you in if you are interested, Let me know.

Did it finally start? When I got home near Bozeman at 5 it was snowing harder there than it had all day up at BS. Have fun up there Mike.

I'll be somewhere in the Cascades on Wednesday (most likely Stevens or Alpental), then possibly heading up to Whistler for Thursday/Friday to avoid the freezing level spike that looks like it may hit Washington. Hoping that it delays by an extra day so I can squeeze in a Baker day.

Well, I slept in the 4runner on the side of the road last night. I love it! I will be in Bellingham to party tonight. Skiing Baker tomorrow with Gunder, then heading to whistler for Thurs/Fri.

This place is sick. Gunder and karsten are showing me around. I followed karstens stylie 3 off a cliff with an uber stylie face smashing straight air. It felt like I broke my nose but at least I stomped it and rode away with a bloody face and a fat lip. Tonight I'm driving to whistler to hook up with some buddies. Can't wait to be north of the border!

Skied Whistler today with some buddies from Minnesota. It was pretty fun. I've only ever skied Blackcomb. It was low vis but decent snow and it's snowing right now, so tomorrow should be good. I'm planning on heading to Liard hot springs starting after skiing tomorrow. I may take one Minnesotan hitch-hiker with me.

Well, I slept in the car again last night and I'm in Dawson Creek, mile zero now. My buddy Jordan met me last night so we have two vehicles going now which is good. our combined vehicle mileage is around 580k miles which is a little scary, but what the hell. Unfortunately, I will be bypassing Haines due to time and budget constraints, and going straight to Turnagain pass.
I can't wait to be in Liard hot springs tonight though.

We ended up coming to haines. My buddy jordan and I drove in late last night and walked into the bar to see seth morrison, tanner hall, erik roner, and a whole TGR posse hangin' out. It was cool because they kept ringing the bell so we kept drinking. We parked our rigs right outside so we could just climb in and pass out right there. Its snowy today so they prolly aren't flying. My exhaust fell off last night so I have it rigged up with wire. Fixing it proper will be my project for today. Damn bumpy roads. Thank god I got redneck blood in me

Yeah, heli-skied haines today. It was sick. Tedshred took us all over his playground. Pretty much blower, face-shot pow everywhere. The best was the last run though. A 4000' couloir on Porky's Spines. Sooooo sweet. Anyone coming this way would be wise to stop in at Alaska Heliskiing and ask for Ted Purdy. haha. Mindblowing... oh yeah, pics soon. Next stop, Turnagain for some sled action

    made it!

We stayed on the side of the road north of Anchorage last night and made it to town today. It feels good to be back in the other 'home' state! Going to the Anchorage bars tonight, and skiing something deep tomorrow. Here's a photo of me in front of the Matanuska glacier. Any AK mags wanna get beers? Let's rally!

Huh, we were in Haines at the same time. No heli skiing for me though, I was touring. We stopped at the heli ski place for some info, but the guide there was a douche.
