    Binding Mount Paper Templates

After fiddling with templates every-time I mount bindings, I decided to make paper templates for all the popular bindings that can be printed on 8.5"x11" paper and can be used for all BSL's. Note the revision number appended to the end of the filename (_R1 ect). If you have saved an old revision, please delete it!

    Alpine Bindings
    salomon_paper_template_R6.pdf Verified (jondrums)
    FKS_paper_template_R8.pdf Verified (jondrums)
    look_px_racing_paper_template_R3.pdf Verified (johnny sizzler)
    look_pivot_axial_paper_template_R2.pdf Verified (jondrums)
    look_px_axial2_paper_template_R3.pdf Verified (strawjack)
    marker_jester_paper_template_R5.pdf Verified (cstefanic)
    tyrolia_paper_template_R4.pdf verified (climber joe)

    Touring Bindings

    Binding Freedom Plate Kits
    dynadukes_paper_template_R2.pdf Verified (jondrums)
    dynadukes_paper_template_11x17_R2.pdf Verified (jondrums)
    sollyfits_paper_template_R2 Verified (jondrums)
    dynalooks_paper_template_R1 Verified (jondrums)
    markerfits_paper_template_R1 Verified (jondrums)

Please post to the thread when you use any of these, so that people know that particular template has been used and worked.

A new note: Double Check your Print Scaling! not all printers print at the right size, so use a ruler and make sure that printed ruler on paper matches the real ruler. If not, adjust the size percentage on your print settings and print again!

*Use at your own risk - Always double check your holes before drilling!

UPDATE: Tutorial pics and vids now in post #77

If there can be a thread going of various paper templates to print, that would make everyone's lives a lot easier. Its a shame that these aren't readily available for alpine bindings.

For all of us that aren't afraid to put a drill in our hands.....thank you!

You can purchase full sheet labels (the entire 8.5x11 sheeet is a label) and stick these to acrylic or plywood to make a more permanent template.

    Post FWIW

Since I think this is a good idea, here's all Ive got.
    The .rar file contains:
Alpine: Pechelmans solly bsl295 to 325, lookp18 325bsl, p18toe(jpg) and a mystery template I really dont know what its for or where I found it.
AT: Pechelmans Dynafit bsl295 to 330, fritschi explore, fritschi freeride, naxos 0607, and something called the portmannsupertemplate picked up from wildsnow
Tele: Linken, Rottefella Chilli, G3 Targa + G3 0405 tech manual and dealer workbook

Its 4.03 mb in all and can be had here:
    http://web.comhem.se/~u65131777/temp...collection.rar
    and mirror here:
    http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?x1s6sx5bjrdpnmp

Remember to take care when printing them out. Use at your own risk.

On Pechelman's templates the correct measures are printed on the template.
Measure these with a ruler to confirm that you didnt screw up the print-job.
(Pechelmans templates rock by the way. Thanx again man.)

ps/the g3 manual and workbook was included because they contain riser templates and stuff. Props to everyone who made these available on the interweb to begin with. /ds

    Update 20090407:
Found a bunch of Tele-templates that didnt make it into the the first .rar file.
    http://web.comhem.se/~u65131777/Rabb...latesAddon.rar
    (1.93mb, hammerhead,k2inserts,7tm,riva2,superloop...)
    and mirror here:

Over the next little while, I will be converting FKS, PX, and Dynafit to the format above, and I'll put 'em in that first post. Thanks rabbit for the consolidated file. Maybe I'll get around to duke, fritschi, and naxo (less urgent because those come with paper templates). Also, thanks to chupacabra for the PX jig measurements.

I will add a use at own risk message until someone PM's me that they used the templates successfully.

    I finished the FKS templates...

I also revised the sally template since I came up with a much better way to double check your print scaling.

Hey jondrums, how is the px race (so shorter heel screw pattern) template coming along? If its still going to be a while, i'd be willing to draw one up myself, seeing as I need one soon. Do you think you, or chupacabra, could pm me the measurements between the back toe screws and the front heel screws? I'll use calipers to measure out all the other distances between holes for the toe and heel pieces.

    Looks very nice.
Maybe you could put in the fifth hole in the heel and make it the end all template?
    While youre at it?

yes! I can't find the measurement anywhere. Anyone have a link to sally with 5 hole heel pattern or can someone measure it for me? PM me if you have calipers and willing to carefully measure it.

    BUMP, for more templates.

I need someone to print out the Look templates and check it versus a jig. I don't have a Look jig, and Chupa measured his for me.

Still looking for the Sally 5th hole measurement...

I tried that look template and it looks like it's just for the newer Axial2, is that correct? I have older Axials, does anyone have that template? I made my own by tracing, but want to check it just in case to make sure my toe and heel center lines are square.

    TIA

^^^ can you post what kind of boots you have, and if the BCL lines up perfectly? I heard that different manufacturers set the dynafit pins in the toe a little different.

Any chance you'd be able to get the 3-screw geze toe in there with the fks?

Used the solly template last night. Perfect. A tip of my hat to you, sir.

One request, any chance to add the 5th hole to the solly heel pattern?

I have a Salomon jig -- I'll measure the heel pattern and email jondrums with it, over the weekend, so it can be added to the templates.
