What do you think of ShawnB's Rax prototype that I rode at Kirkwood Longboard Day? IMO, the only reason for Rax is to make 'em 210cm (+)!!!

How about 'Racks', will that work? Is it an unfortunate side effect of Rax that it is the shittest thing to watch ever?

    Waaaaaaay ahead of you, brah!

I've already consulted my patent attorney regarding a few unique names to avoid any intellectual property infringement.

The sweet mods on those K2s are inspired by Mad Max (Beyond Thunderdome). The new models will definitely have tommy guns mounted in front and will also be equipped with rear units that can lay down an oil-slick a la "Spy Hunter". It would be advisable for the downhill skiers to look out (as well as anybody behind the schralper who is rocking one of these awesome setups).

The leading contenders for names thus far are "RadMax" and "DeathMax", so there is no real mention of Rax and therefore no need for any frivilous lawsuits. After all, competition breeds innovation, right?

Due to the fact that the technology for an integrated system as fantastic as the RadMax series has not been invented yet, I would expect a release date no earlier than the year 2112 (which will give your Rax product line ample time to transform the skiing landscape).

    1) You got it! Even more:fins can also take the place
    of ski edges.
Yet using fins exclusively would be the most stupid idea.
This nonsense can only be beaten by another nonsense:
never use the fins as riding on ski tails is evil`s work.

The best practice would be: apply shaped edges,
poles and fins in combination, depending on terrain,
    snow, speed, etc.
80% edge and 20% side-wall fin while carving on
    groomer
0% edge, 80% fins and 20% pole on a glare or when
riding down slush in the fall line
Once again: fin can support and amplify the action
    of ski edge and pole
, in very rare conditions fins can be used alone

    2) Is the group racing down the lift line on our video
any slow ? Do you really think you and 2 others
could chase faster on a 4 to 6 feet wide stripe
    covered by tracked slush?

Hey Tom sorry if this has already been covered I can't read the whole thread. But I am a really super XXXXtreme skier. Can you do extreme stunts and tricks on these rax skis? Could you show a video of some 360's, spread eagles and some nice cliffs. Also some powder footage because this fin seems like it would cut perfectly through powder. Please show some more video footage. I would love to get a pair so I can have them next to these really awesome PBR skis I bought here on this site for only $5,000 (yeah I got an amazing deal)

also can you show a video going off a terrain park jump.

    $16,000 raised on Kickstarter!

The special stabilising tail with metal edges ensure that the skis will not slip, unlike with standard skis. It slows down and returns the skier back to a stable position. The skis’ geometric structure combined with a patented innovative tail gives you the ability to maintain a balanced position and prevents you from flinging back while skiing on an uneven surface.

With this feature, the skis are suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers who enjoy leaving the groomed slopes behind in favour of off-piste, backcountry skiing.

STAKIs come with adjustable binding, which is incredibly comfortable compared to common binding used on any other type of skis, including snowblades.

Yes we can change...skiing (Rax ski 2009)

Is the control tail integrated into the binding?
