A parade of pacific frontal systems will affect the coastal mountains
from the enviro canada forecast... bout' time we get slammed. Today felt like the chains had been lifted and everything was going to be good again. Here's to everyone having a blast and playing it safe over the next week or so.

Doesn't look so good for Alpy unless the East wind keeps things cold at the surface, but the other areas should pick up some good snow on their higher aspects and everybody should be back in the goods by Monday:

By Monday W/B is expected to have 40-65cm of new snow. That good old wet stick-to-everything Whistler powder as well. Rest up, boys!
Fuck I'm jonesin' to get out there. That 4 weeks of groomers had me not caring, but now the wait is nearly unbearable.

did it really rain to 1800m today somehow??? Is it clear up there already or still snowing? Didn't seem like FL would go up that high today. Thinking of heading up tomorrow, sounds like Peak and Harmony could be really good. None of those 2 opened yesterday right?

nothing opened today due to high winds. mid mtn and alpine temps looked like they were below freezing all day so unless it rained up high some time in the early morning before the lifts opened then it should be all good. Reporting 38cm in the last 2 days. peak chair looked juicy all sun lit and no tracks.

peak, harmony, symphony, glacier, and 7th heaven all were closed today. I headed up later in the day, like noonish. Top of wizard chair was wet and semi new snow. rendezvous was dense and sticky, but super fun to ski and everyone had left already b/c of the morning. I'm hoping the top of either mountain opens tomorrow. I'll be shreddin in a gorilla suit and will probably be on some 188 bro's. If you see me in the liftline, ask for change and we'll shred for a bit.

Today wasn't half bad. Cafe was sweet as was the JC liftline and CBCs. Crust in some spots but all in all half decent. Alpine will be sweet tomorrow!

Apparently harmony and peak chairs weren't even strung up due to winds and there are signs and patrollers everywhere warning of avi danger and re-directing people.
