    mtskier, I missed this thread before but it really got to me this morning.....
    We had a black lab/rottie mix dumped off at our work shop last August. We named him Jester(some in the family call him otis because he kinda acts like an otis.
    Early pics of your pup are sooooo much like Jester

    Here is a fairly current picture of him

    I think I'll go play fetch with Jester now....
    Sometimes you have to let your bad self ski...

    Looks like you gave Smuggs a good life and she returned the favor for as long as she could.

    My mutt is getting to be about the same age and is starting to have some issues of his own. Sadly he's at home and I'm off at grad school, so I don't get to see him much

    wow that was an incredible tribute to smuggs. I can't wait to get my first dog when the time comes for me to be able to accommodate one. I have never lived in a house with one but they seem like incredible pets. I am still a few years away from being able to get one.

    Wow, I've never met your dog or you, but I feel for you and almost feel like she was my personal dog. Sorry for your loss, Smuggs was beautiful. Good luck with the little runt!
