Any Banff Maggots up for a tour?
I am going to be in Banff April 6-14 and am looking to hit the backcountry. I am good shape and have 2 years of ski patrol at Crystal Mt and Alyeska. I am up for pretty much anything from daytrips to multiday trips in either a tent or hut.
Anyone interested? The pacifists always lose, because the anti-pacifists kill them.

Unfortunately I have a tentative plan for a vacation around that time, but if it falls through I am in for a bunch of day trips.

pm skibee, she might be up for it, or at least be able to connect you with someone who can tour

Hey man! Going to be in my neck of the woods???
Give me a PM before you come, I am not sure what I'll be up to, but perhaps a tour or a Revy day could be in order!Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!
"He is god of snow; the one called Ullr. Son of Sif, step son of Thor. He is so fierce a bowman and ski-runner that none may contend! He is quite beautiful to look upon and has all the characteristics of a warrior. It is wise to invoke the name of Ullr in duels!"

Well... April makes things much more interesting... spring conditions, no school (well less school) lots of sunshine... better prospects of getting me away from my desk in April!!!

Hostels in Banff and Louise.

Less well known is the old YWCA, which is now the Y Mountain Lodge. Easier walk to the downtown bars.

My usual stop is the winter camping at Tunnel Mountain in Banff or the Louise campground. Electrical hookups and showers available for about the same price as a dorm bed at the hostels and Y.

If anybody has room to crash, I can offer beer, food, and a place to crash in Girdwood, AK in the future.
