    Prof. Chaos' FIRE SALE..

.../ turns out my entire lateral meniscus is torn and my season is over. Although I have been improving quite rapidly for such an injury (likely wont need surgery if I dont fuck it some more), Im not willing to risk a couple last days on snow and jeopardize my bike season.

    Alrighty. To the goods.

First up are some 185 Praxis Pows. Bought from flyby a little while ago(2 months??).It was my first endeavor with reverse/reverse skis and they just dont tickle my fancy. They were mounted 1.5x for FKS binders(toes moved back) and are now currently sitting at a 305mm bsl at 97.5cm back from tip. They were mounted with the geze style toe FKS. Topsheets have a bit of usual wear and tear. I havent added anything new(as I only got them out a couple of times for half days). Edges are good as well. Bases are clean other than one fill(somewhere between nickel and quarter size). Dont know details of this fill(however it looks like it was done by someone who knew what they were doing, very nice and clean), but maybe flyby/dfinn/dblatto can chime in as I believe these were theirs prior to me.

EDIT - When I pulled the bindings off, I was reminded of a brass insert in the rear right heel hole in one ski. When I reused the hold holes from the previous mount they were all super tight and worked well but one needed an insert. So, to sum it up: one brass insert exist in a rear heel hole.
Just to be clear for everyone, one of these:

Even I, who put that in there, didnt notice the insert while skiing. It was put in by someone who's been in the game for a long time and has their shit together. All holes are tight and can be reused and I assure you, you wont even notice the insert.

    Bindings Gone.

    Bare: $200. OBO.

Second, some 190 V Explosives. These have a bit of history so Ill fill ya'll in. Got them from Soul a while back in a trade. They had seen some rough times, but Ive done a lot to make them a bit better, or maybe at least a bit cleaner. They suffered a pretty long shot to the bases and I received them with some work done to fill them. I took the initiative to remove old ptex(as it was falling out) and clean the wound. I soon realized the extent of it. The shot was long, but not fully patched and repaired. I initially copolymered it in but that soon fizzled out and cracked. I tried to patch it, however this ski has seen many base grinds and the material left didnt leave a whole lot to bind to. It also fell out. Lastly, and now the current sollution, I just recleaned the area and filled it with good ol epoxy. I will add that despite the extent of this, it isnt a true core shot. This didnt go to the core, it just hit the metal plate under the base. There is NO damage to the sidewall, NO damage to the edge, NOR any damage to the skis integrity(other than the fact that a piece of base is gone).
So, what does all of this mean to you? It just simply means that you now have a dedicated outside edge. The skis are still rock solid and have life in them. Other than the usual topsheet wear and tear these things still rail, hold and edge, and ski great.
They have also been mounted 1.5x and currently sit at a 305mm bsl with some 916s.
They arent the greatest shape, but if you Explosive lovers and hoarders(and dont try to disquise yourselves) want a pair to beat on for those less-than-stellar days, this might be just what your looking for. With that said, these are still awsome and kicking and Im sad to see them go.

    Bindings: $100

Ski: $ANYTHING!!!! In fact Ill up the FIRE SALE. If someone buys the 916s, anyone can claim the skis as their own given shipping. If you feel like giving a small donation (... oh i donno, say, the amount of an 1/8th) at the same time, that would also be much appreciated.

    Closeup of damaged area.

Really closeup to show thinness of base.

Sidewall around impacted area. As you can see, no structural damage.

Salomon Falcon S Lab. Brand new in the box. Size 26.5. 305~mm bsl.

    SOLD LOCALLY.

    ON3P Wrenegade's.

    SOLD.

Sorry all the pics are sideways. Ive edited them in their original file and on my computer they show right side up, but when uploaded they flip. Whatever.

Preference to Vancouverites and surrounding locals.

Shipping is on you(although Im willing to work on that). Im very familiar with cross-border shipping, so Ill do everything I can to make sure the buyer doesnt get tagged with duty.

Possible free pair of Explosives if the binders go with them. I should note, just in case its not clear, that the patch in the bases IS FILLED. I took the pics post cleaning and prior to exopy.

Please dont make me get desperate and sell my ON3P's.!! Im in love with these and wouldnt want financial reasons make me get rid of them(even though I know Id be grabbing another set from Scott regardless).

    Praxis flat now $300 obo.
Will post a pic of the mount holes(just in case someone feels ancy(sp?))

    Will split Explosives and 916s.

More than likely keeping ON3P's, cause I fell in love with them(again) over the weekend skiing up to 50cm of blower

If you were selling the ON3Ps....how much,

would you say they fit perfectly as:

    long, stiff, crudbusting, stomping, ski

    sounds like it to me....

    god they look good.

Might have looked deceiving, but after the last pic I posted them for $420 appropriately.

And yes, they do fit perfectly as long, stiff, stomping, floating, even surfing(almost stretching it here), making-crud-your-biaaatch, railing ski.

damn, dude. heal up. i was just off for 4 weeks myself.

i hear the shore is getting good (read:rideable). by the time the snow clears, you'll probably be ok. take it slow though; my friend did the same thing as you and ended up having to get surgery. he's now out for 6 months.

Thanks. Ive been hearing the same, so I figure by the time this gets better everything will be prime.
Im hoping surgery doesnt happen. My doc told me he has no problem recommending me to a specialist surgeon, however he stated that considering Im a pretty young and healthy, active individual he wouldnt recommend doing it off the bat. It would only include unnecessary probing, slicing, and all that.

AR - Price is listed under description, before pics. At $420 with bindings and all.

Should also add that these have had their second coat of epoxy to the sidewalls and have been sanded to a smooth finish.
