    Abe Lincoln biography?

Seems like an influential cat that I really don't know that much about. What should I read?

Another perspective, more focused on his leadership style, by THE Presidential historian, here.
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Gore Vidalls' "Lincoln" is supposed to be a definitive, but long read about Lincoln.

There's no shortage of Lincoln material.

I've read Team of Rivals and was not disappointed.

Never thought I’d read a bill the blowhard o Reily book. But killing Lincoln was mostly good.

Summer vacation with endless sunny days makes me hide in the shade and read. Found This on the shelf.

The first third was good battle history of the last days of the civil war.

Middle got bloated with musings about booths motives.

    The end was very good.

Struck by the odd fact that the man that killed john wilkes booth had earlier cut off his testicles with a scissor when he felt unduly lustful. Damn. Just rub one out to ease the stress, man.

    Ouch.
