I think the addition of Warren to the lineup is exciting. I've been a big fan of his but I admit I was skeptical at first. Listening to the last couple of shows has thrown me totally behind it and has amped me up for the Gorge.
Plus I haven't seen the Allman's in years so it should be a sweet afternoon/night of music.

Caught Worcester Sunday night. Scarlet Fire to open the second was hot and the Lovelight was even hotter.
Thanks boys!

last nights highlights were a killer bertha opener, all along the watchtower (warren blazing, playing the hendrix versions leads), cumberland was just incredible. the weight, sick drums with chimenti laying down some synth for a funky and smoking jam, king solomons, viola lee (phil sang the last verse and the place went wild), and ripple encore (whole crowd singing). IMO this show was the best of the three i saw.
bobby is still bobby and made some goofs on till the morning comes, and greatest story came off the tracks for a while before they righted the ship.

Well, I know this probably useless, but does anybody out there have a ticket to the Gorge show on the 16th that they are looking to get rid of? Was going to pass on it due to finals, but cancellations and the realizations that some of my buddies are opening earlier in the day has put me back out into the market. Thanks a bunch.

Denver tomorrow night. I'll be the fat, bald drunk guy in a shapeless, withered tie-dye, spilling beer and singing the wrong lyrics to Sugar Magnolia at the top of my lungs. If you see me, stoke me out with some of your kind bud, dude!
EDIT: to add that I'll be Bob side. Fer sure.Last edited by Pinner; 05-06-2009 at 10:28 PM.

Damn indeed! That is some classic late 70s-early 80s-late 60s-late 70s shit right there. I would lose my mind.
For some reason, after spending the evening rocking out at the local metal pub, I woke up dreaming about Jerry's solo in "Throwing Stones". I guess today will be spent on the Archive.

There is some decent You Tube of the tour and it sounds good. Warren did a good 'Jerry" and I'm not a Warren fan. 3 song encores and acoustic set openers were never a part of my Jerry days.
Is LSD as readily available as it was ? I wonder if its the same heads just dipping sheets with same formula ? Except now they wear gloves.
