Not sure what is wrong with On Beyond Zebra. Haven't been able to find an article that mentions it but I think it might be the alphabet itself. I don't think I have a copy of the book anymore but I might as I have an extensive collection of children's books.

Most of the cancellations are for illustrations. Not for dr Seuss words. So just change the pictures and republish.

This shit makes me want to get a pancake platter at little black sambos.
Yep...just pure coincidence that it is celebrated on his birthday and the NEA partnered with Dr. Seuss Enterprises on it up until 2018.

Is it fake outrage when 6 books are discontinued from print and can no longer be purchased or read? Those books are gone forever...destroyed by cancel culture. Don’t believe me...go try and find a copy of to think I saw it on mulberry street. Literally...cancel culture is limiting access to literary works. If you don’t think that is a problem...I am not sure what to tell you.

This is just another "woke" hypocrisy that needs to go down with some Uncle Ben's rice, and a spoon full of Aunt Jemima's syrup. To paraphrase Andrew Shepherd, my favorite leftist, ...Where is a Grand Cherokee when you need one

Wag the dog dumb ass. They got ya looking right where they want you looking. Spend a few days on it and get real worked up and then you’ll sniff out the next thing to be outraged about. Good boy.

You probably shouldn’t use the term “boy”

I honestly remember reading Mulberry to my kid and thinking "This seems a bit racist."

I also honestly think Mulberry is not all that good. I hadn't even heard of the others. We are not losing access to critical pieces of the Suess canon. This also seems to have created some potential investment opportunities: https://www.amazon.com/Think-That-Sa.../dp/0394844947

    Dr. Seuss question

^^^^you should put your copy up for auction so you make a bundle on some freedumb fighter buying up the not in anyway banned books.

It’s almost like gretch does not believe in personal property as the person (corporate board) who owns this material has decided to no longer publish. Instead gretch gets all upset cause the state has not stepped in to force it to happen.

The prices are crazy and no...it is not some great masterpiece. However, it is an extremely slippery slope and next time, it might just be a more important piece of art.

It was a business decision... by a company. It's the family cancelling it's own, for their own reasons.

It's not like the NAACP is demanding the abolishment of "Black Like Me", Huck Finn or "To Kill A Mockingbird".

GR...but why do you think they made the decision? It obviously wasn’t purely based on there being no demand...and why now?

This is not something that is simply going to stop once the mob concludes all offensive items have been removed from society....but hey, maybe we should all just give in to the peer pressure and sit on the sideline quietly...because I mean...hey, if we all don’t think the same the one that questions if this is the right direction is the idiot.

We have had the censorship convo before...I think we just land on different sides of the fence...and that is ok...I promise no one will get hurt because we have different views.
