Thanks man! It's pretty amazing here... we're on our way home currently (sitting in the Vagar airport), so a proper TR will be coming sometime in the next week or two.

One more departing shot, this was taken about 5 minutes from the airport. There are incredible views in every direction here, and the weather almost always keeps things interesting. We managed to go rainless for the first 11 days of our vacation in Iceland and the Faroes, but it finally arrived this morning as we're leaving. Mostly just a heavy mist though, nothing much for here.

I got a chance to shoot a bike race yesterday afternoon. Downhill race from Bogus Basin to Ten Barrel Brewing in downtown Boise. 20-ish miles. To finish you had to chug a beer at the end.

The guys in the tough trucks were nuts. They were hucking it huge to a flat landing. A few were going bigger than the monster trucks.

One of my new favorite places on earth, the island of Mykines in the Faroe Islands (with the island of Vagar in the distance):

From the back patio of our rental in Chamonix. Every evening the clouds would move in and then slowly clear right around sunset. It was like shooting fish in a barrel with a drink in one hand, camera in the other.

I went warmer on this at first (more orange)...and then went back to a cooler WB. I really like the blues/purples.

^That’s one of the interesting things about spring touring - finding low elevation bugs that have been blown up into the high country. Also the sound of water running near rocks.

Picture from our backpack to the winds a week ago. I did adjust exposure levels a little to make it look like I remember it but otherwise the shot is right out of the camera. Lake had ice flows and was full of fish that were biting my flies. The map says it was around 11,200 and the tent was 11,400 according to GPS. Beautiful sunsets all week. I might get a little TR up in the TR forum, or I might not. It was a killer trip. 6D with old school super light 24 mm 2.8 lens set at f6.3/ISO 320 gave me a shutter speed of 1/40th. On this trip I tried to keep shutter speed at or above 1/50th for handheld without blurring with no IS on the featherlight lens and worked on keeping to lower ISO's for less noise. I am happy with the results compared to last years trip with the same setup.

What route did you guys take? Been looking at something in this area in a couple weeks. Copper Ridge loop with Tapto side trip perhaps. We have 4 days, any route suggestions (scrambling is ok). Sorry to derail thread, feel free to PM.
