Not even for pure landscape shots? That's my default for tripod shots to get good depth of field. I only go to a higher f-stop if I want a sunburst effect.

Not usually.... I also don't tend to shoot landscapes with a tripod though.

    Happy Memorial Day, fellas.

Picture from Iceland this afternoon.... the Fimmvorduhals hike above Skogafoss. There were a million people at the TH, but we had the entire trail to ourselves once we were 2km into it. Once of my favorite hikes anywhere in the world.

Grafarkirkja, a local church just up the road from the house we're renting in the middle of the Highlands in Iceland. Wow, this place is unreal.

Yes, with the adapted 55-250 STM lens.

Here's one from the Faroe Islands yesterday, we hiked from Saksun to Tjornuvik over one of the most picturesque passes I've ever seen. The lighting/weather hasn't been ideal, but this gives you an idea of the view looking over Tjornuvik. This was taken with the Sigma 17-70mm, using the Canon adapter on my M5.

Spent the day on Mykines, the western-most island in the Faroes... and holy shit the puffins are everywhere (no pun intended). What a photogenic bird, and so amazingly fun to stalk and photograph.
