Going over some pics from this past summer's trip to Iceland, and I decided to post-process this one a little differently than before.

Been a while since I posted on here. Went through some of my old pictures today. These from NY were right after I got my first digital camera in 2001, the 3-megapixel HP Photosmart 315 (I used a film SLR for a few years before that). Whatever half-decent shots I got on this trip were due to pure dumb luck.

Experimenting a bit with taking pictures with a Black and White finished product in mind. This time of year there isn't much interesting color around these parts and the steep sun angles lead to interesting shadows and lighting.

Looking sharp as usual. What zooms do you use, just curious as I am in the market.

Thanks! These were shot with a Sigma 500mm f4.5. Not a zoom but I am seriously contemplating switching to the Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 sport. It takes both the 1.4 and 2x TC's extremely well. For the price and IQ it's hard to beat. Probably wouldn't have to also carry a 70-200mm with that setup.

i dont have a 100-400 yet, but a 24-105 + a 100-400 will be my future ski kit. I havnt considered the sigma zooms. i used to hav a 70-200 2.8 sigma when i was on Nikon. It was a great lense, ill have to look into the 120-300 2.8 that sounds right up my alley.

ouch, that lense is priicey. 3600 bucks.
