Best I can do without the right lens. The garden does not allow white lenses.

Actually you got lucky. No detachable lens cameras are allowed during sporting events.

Here is one before I figured out the ISO was too low.

Steve I saw that first one on my phone earlier today and I was really impressed. Now that I'm home x2. Care to share exif/lens info?
Ha! Exactly. You simply can't abandon the wife during prime light. I'm in the same boat *except* I'm not good enough to capture worthy pictures even with free time and good light which we haven't had since this winter drought ended anyway.
The same thing said through pictures:

Umm, can you change the channel, I hate the fucking eagles, man.
Seriously, nice shots. Just don't be following these up with the shitty beatles.

MTCHAM, You have found a great spot for Baldie shots. As always awesome shots. Can you say more about your technique (car, blind, just lucky?)

These are mostly just driving to and from work, from Bozeman to Four Corners. Several times a week I'll take a half hour drive in the afternoon along the Gallatin River where there are lots of favorite perch trees. Typical day I'll spot at least a half a dozen but Feb-March I'll see around 30 in a day when they migrate through the area. Today I had six eagles all feeding on an afterbirth from a cow. It's just starting to get good but the warm weather may screw up the migration.
Knowing where to look is the biggest part and yes I shoot from the car, a pop-up blind and also hiking along the rivers.

i've been trying for a while to capture the kid's blue eyes better- he doesn't like to sit still unless he's sleeping, plus, he's not entirely fond of the camera

it was an awesome day for a drive!
some drunken spruce
those lit ridges in the background catch my eye every time we drive by them
it's always a good day when you can see denali..
i just loved the snow textures on this hillside
it was a bit windy..
i just really liked these frost patterns
and then it was really icy
and at the end there was some nice alpenglow

Self portrait may be a little soy for you guys. But I wanted to try chiaroscuro lighting in a brightly lit room with an off camera strobe. My TV and ceiling lights were on. Sorry I didn't have a better looking subject but it was spur of the moment while making dinner.
