    dear chad,
i know how it looked when you created the post. but remember that the rest of us are likely scrolling UP to look at the pictures. that means we're going from the feeding picture right to great grandma. i gotta say it freaked me out a little bit.

and congrats. i figured out how to get the dog tired, now i just need some running water to copy your pics.
    now there's just stillwater

Congrats splitter! I bet the missus is really happy to get that over with. How many days overdue?

Took the camera out on Vail Sunday. Wasn't expecting much, but ended up being pleasantly surprised.

POTD is going off consistently recently.

Thanks for all the congrats. We are stoked. And sleepy.
@outabounds, that hood shot is great. The squared off shadow bottom right is a little distracting but what an exposure, a nice amount of snow, and I love the wispy clouds ever so slightly veiling the stars. Perhaps a crop right above that would make hood a little bigger and highlight the sky even more. But you take damn good photos, as usual, I like it how it sits.

@powdork, glad to hear you are getting the dog out. I'm gonna try to get ours out tomorrow. We are getting a little bit more dialed. The wife ended up having a c-section so she's feeling pretty sore. Mostly I've been doing everything she needs and changing the baby and she's been feeding it. Holy cow some boobies!

I'm waiting for a good opportunity to do a better little photo shoot as the family is chompin' at the bit for more shots. But yesterday, when the wife was taking a little nap, Aiden and I checked out his bouncy chair. He's 5 days old tonight.

Beautiful kid, splitter. Glad to hear he's doing well.

Shadow is from the lights in the Timberline parking lot. Next time I'll take a hike to get away from them. Usually I go there because I can sit in the car with a cold one during long exposures.

You should do a 365 project of your kid. I've been doing one for 2011 and it's a great chronicle of her growth, even though a lot of the photos are just snapshots.

Thanks. As outabounds said, you could easily do one with your kid.

The hardest thing I find about the project is taking pictures with some thoughts behind them, rather than a quick snapshot just to fulfill the day's quota. Granted, that's a bit hard when it's late at night, I'm about to go to bed, and then suddenly remember that I haven't shot the day's picture.

Both good thoughts. I'm sure he'll be the subject of an awful lot of the shots, but I'm thinking I'll keep my subject matter a little more diverse. That was one of the things I found interesting about yours (Fuzz), was the ability to make the ordinary interesting, to find art in the minutiae.

I took this one over thanksgiving in Charlotte, NC. Tried out a technique I've seen on here but never attempted myself.

Oh man, this brings back memories. I used to go to the Charlotte F&H every Sunday to watch football and every MLB opening day to watch games all day long. Sure was nice living four blocks from that place.

2nded. We've been doing one two. We haven't gotten everyday, and I lost a couple days because of a hard drive snafu, but it's been very worthwhile.
This is the worst pain EVER!
