Here are a few pics from the last week of skiing. Now you have to remember that it hasn't snowed once all year, not fucking once. Last year when I was laid up due to a violent hockey injury that I will probably never mentally recover from it snowed every motherfucking day, this year not a fucking snowflake. I even saw some Sun Valley employees painting snow on the branches in front of their web cams the other day.
Will Burks doesn't give a shit about snow.
J Marx just plain doesn't give a shit.
Chickndinner doesn't remember this shot because he got a concussion the other day.
Collins would ski on dirt if they let him.
Some people call this mini golf, Sol Skier just calls it living.
Chickndinner skied the burn when it was fucking burning...core.

those pics from Sun Valley?
Never been there before but maybe buying a ticket this week to get there mid march (taking advantage of a free place to stay)
you guys out there think it's gonna be worth the trip then?

Tough call this far out.
But right now, the snow is sub-par, to say the least. Sun-V is a super fun mountain. Deep days up there are epic but, few and far between, and when it does happen, it is tracked in about an hour due to the fact that the locals live less than 10 minutes away from the lift.
But, what the hell, by the end of March, anything will be fun.

Absolutely, man! You will be more than welcome by all the friendly folks here in town. We will probably be celebrating corn season, listening to Alan Parsons Project on our AstralTunes, bashing the bumps and drinking beer in the sun but who knows the way this season is going. Come on out, there's no place like it!I fucking love skiing

hey all
Just got back from Sun Valley Yesterday, and dang, my timing seemed to be good.
Thanks for the encouragement to come out. Was there saturday through tuesday and got the whole of the storm cycle.
Sorry, no stoke cause my girlfriend left my camera at her office, but I hope y'all got some mon/tuesday. There were certainly some hero lines up above freezing level.
Mad Props to Ski Tech in SV as well. They hooked me up with a sweet deal on a demo set of Shamans that killed it in that heavy shit down low.
Happy Corning this spring, NYC is feeling really flat right about now.

yeah, the bowls were soft and fairly deep with just the slightest windcrust on tuesday morning, giving way to some great spring butter in the later hours. Mostly fresh lines on top 'till about 11:30/12.
Bottom half of the mountain got really heavy and sloppy during the storm, but once it melts and compacts a little more it should be real nice.
Visibility was literally zero in the bowls during the storm, but glad I braved it for a half dozen laps or so on monday. Though I must say, I ain't never been scared on a lift before I rode across the top of the bowls on monday afternoon in the wind and snow!!

Hey rip, glad you had a good time, man. Sorry the liquor dispensary at the bottom of chair 10 wasn't set up correctly during your stay. We're working on getting it turned around so you can swipe your pass and pick up a drink in line. Come back next year, maybe we'll have it fixed, in the meantime I hope you're inspired to make a spring trip to Sugarbush North and bang out a few laps on Upper FIS. Do it, man.
I fucking love skiing
