Christmas Eve was nipple deep at Baker

it snowed 20" at 20 degrees in 12 hours today. with the wind transport, it was nipple deep in places that i happened to ski. Plus, i had the joy of skiing on gunder's lhasa pows which are the best all around skis i've ever been on. Now it's time to hot tub with a bottle of delerium tremens and a bottle of 2007 double bastard. Merry Christmas. Oh yeah, the long range forecast says call in sick next week..

The day before Christmas Eve day was nice for shredding the Arm. Today they reported 4'' overnight and it was nipples, as WC said. Tomorrow the lifts don't turn in observance of Christmas, but skintracks are non-denominational.....

I love hops... but Double Bastard is little bit too much for me. This is coming from the guy who loves Dale's Pale Ale and just about any IPA that exists; and crushes up and eats wild hops when he goes rock climbing in Eldorado Canyon.

It's just a little too hoppy for me. I like the taste of it, up until about five seconds after I've swallowed, then it's too much. I can't quantify how hoppy it tastes, but if it were just a little less to that extreme I think it would be a fine quality ale.

It didn't happen unless you have pics to prove otherwise.

It happened. The light was too flat and it was snowing too hard to make pics worth it (for me at least), but it definitely happened.

Vancouver is pretty much equidistant from these two places; why be so jealous?

I guess I'm heading out to baker then...

I was gonna hit Jackson Hole or somewhere in Idaho/ Montana, but this baker update could change my plans.

I'll be the guy sleeping in my truck in the parking lot.
