The 2009 Annual Maggot deal at Chugach Powder Guides

    Awright Maggots!

    Happy Holidays from Owens.

As always, I've made an effort to put some special deals together for you guys. This year I've done that and tried to include a package that offers the ability to take a little smaller bite in hard economic times. If you want any of these, you should reserve by Jan. 20. I hope these make an AK trip doable for some of you chicken fuckers. As is the custom, all include a bit of beer and moose with Owens.

These deals are only for you maggots and I will remove them from here at some point. I always put together the very best deal I possibly can for you guys.

I like the sound of that. Pretty awesome hook you are offering. Out of curiosity what kind of vert do you get on a good day?

A good day in a public ship will get you about 20k vert. 30K days aren't all that uncommon.

In a regular day of day skiing we guarantee 16 k to 20k

Total heli jong here, but I've always wondered what happens when you're grounded for several days? Is money refunded, do you try to get more vert on the days you fly, or are you just flat screwed?

We guarantee vert, so you are refunded based on what you achieve. This number varies by package. On down days in Girdwood, we roll you into the snowcat and charge your account 8,000 feet toward your guarantee, A good deal, really as you tend to ski a lot more than 8k and the storm skiing is often stellar in our cat terrain. If it clears while you are in the cat, we just bring the heli to you and pick you up rock star style.

I've been waiting for this, now I must think hard. I like the rockstar pickup a lot, if only it could happen once.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

I skied with CPG a couple years back and it was phenomenal. The setup of having cat and lift-service as an easy backup to the heli really can't be beat when you have a limited schedule.

I was fortunate enough to help kick off CPG's 08/09 cat skiing season this past weekend and I found out that the best down day activity in AK is not drinking heavily to pass the time, it's actually going shredding in sick cat accessed terrain. Whuda thunkit?

Sat the 20th on the cat was great. Earliest opening in a decade right!?! Good snow, STEEP lines and about 12-18" of untracked pow in the trees. I was sad that not enough folks signed up for Sunday because I was ready for more. Looking forward to the next few storm cycles so that you guys can open up A-1 Glacier. That will make for some of the sickest cat skiing terrain anywhere. BTW the new cat is sweet... it is totally pimped out.

    Happy Holidays CPG!

We took advantage of this deal 2 years ago, and it was well worth it. He has a great operation. Wait till the heli flys you back, by buzzing down the river bottoms. It was a great bit of frosting on the cake.

Do yourself a favor & do it.
I want a 6" travel 20lb MTB. I found the 20lb MTB, but only good for riders under 87 pounds.

I pushed real hard for the heli-ski honeymoon I talked about last year, I ALMOST convinced her. She wanted more culture and shit so were "compromised" with Saas-Fee and Zermatt. Just an amazing deal AGAIN. I guess i have another year to better my knowlege and improve before I head out and up.
