Thumbs up TR: Steamboat 12/16 to 12/18/08 (many pics)

Skiers: Woolbury, adrenalated, non-mag Doug, some kid named Eben Mond, and his gf Darcy
    Photogs: Woolbury and adrenalated

No pics from Tuesday, but Wednesday and Thursday (1" reported each day) were pretty stellar.

    It was pretty.

    IT'S GOOOOOD!

That damn Eben guy showed us up by throwing 360s off our jumps

He likes meadowskipping through the aspens just as much as the next guy, though

Patrol was kind enough to drop the rope on Pioneer Ridge just in time for our very last run. Steep? No. Untracked? Yes.

As Woolbury says, telemark skiing: it's pretty much the best thing ever.

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle
