    A good day out

Headed toward Turnagain Pass, but it seemed like everyone else was as well, so we veered into Girdwood for something different.

    Morning light

Skinning toward the sun, always a nice change during dark December.

Artistic interlude - the gully/couloirs are what we skied down in the dark at the end of the day.

Ahhh breaking out of the shadows, the Chugach Range extends into the distance.

First view of our objective, on the left.

    But first a few turns.

    From the top.

Skinning up as the sun sets over Turnagain Arm, still a long way to the bottom.

Looking North into the Chugach Range

Looking South into the Kenai Mountains

nice photos. Kind of funny, people from Girdwood driving to Turnagain to ski with crowds, when they could walk out the door and get untracked.

Sweet, way to get after the G-wood stashes!

I am on my way home tomorrow and it is great to know that the snow is still good.
