I was at Alta, buddy at Snowbird says 10 people buried. No details on partially buried/full buried/whatever. Hike-to/traverse terrain east off the tram was where it slid I hear.

It says that one person was found. It doesn't say how many were caught.

    That's pretty scary.

    9:30 a.m.
Snowbird has received 9 of new snow in the last 24 hours, 13 inches in the last 48 hours
and 93 inches so far this season.

Wow, hope everyone is ok. With all the inbounds avies last year and now this one, I am thinking I'm just going to start wearing my beacon every day (now that I finally own one).

Holy hell, that explains the sirens I heard a while ago. Hopefully everybody's okay. The big one on the Cirque last year scared the shit out of me, and this one sounds worse.
Congrats, mags! We collected 1030.68! for birdman!

Was skiing that area right around that time, everything was shut down when we reached the tram. Best of luck to everyone involved, victim, rescuers, volunteers.
