Report: the bowl was great today. Snow has been stacking up high, and the lower mountain crust is has been healed quickly.

A little drifty in some areas.

Today was great. And it was a surprisingly light crowd. Had some white room action in Meadows. What a great month it's been.

    Who is going where tomorrow?

Lost Trail looks promising with over 2' in the past days. But with freeride comp it will be a zoo (yet maybe a concentrated zoo)

Lookout has been getting the snow, but doesn't excite me (much for tree skiing? )

Disco? Lighter on the new snow then the others.

Sleep in and still beat the crowd to the bowl sounds like the best option

There's lots of tree skiing at LT. They cut a lot of dead trees down, so you can basically go in between any of the trails.
How's Saturday pow at the Bowl, shit show?

I was up at disco this morning and it was fun, mostly dust on crust with pockets of goodness and fast corduroy. Dont know if it's worth the drive over. I'd prob hit LT or just stay local.

Snowbowl was pretty good today. I went early to avoid the parking problem. In the lot before 8:30, hung out and leisurely out the boots on. Ten person line for tickets just before 9, but they opened the windows quickly. In the chair lineup by 9:10, maybe 15 chairs back on the ropetow side.

Avoided the base until 11am, like was still long then. Short break and I powered through until 2pm. Randomly met an old friend of a friend and he showed me some new to me stuff. Good times, good snow.

Dropped the tailgate and gave a few peeps a ride back down the road to their car. They held the basket of a 3rd skier and we towed him to his car.

My legs and back are toast.

LT was a zoo, a bearable zoo, but a zoo. Not enough people were watching the freeride comp apparently because the chair 4 line was pretty bad. Snow was still good, but idk if it would be worth the drive from missoula.

I'm famous at work for once saying "I knew the sunshine would and ruin everything!" Well, it was pretty up there today, but much of what was great skiing yesterday has now been destroyed by that dreaded orb in the sky. Just as well they'll be closed tomorrow, let the churn rest for a day.

    Tomorrow is Disco Tuesday.

Look on the bright side, Rasputin: It's 100% coral reef now. But maybe a corn cycle coming by the end of the week?

An early/March corn session would be just fine by my book.

Went for an evening lap yesterday for some photos and turns. Wondrous corn greeted me all of the way down to the bottom of chicken chute, but by the time I got to Pat's bumps the coral reef had reasserted itself. By the time I clicked out at the bottom my legs had been rackled-n-shackled 'till they were numb. Might descend a little earlier next time.

Remember how it snowed all February? That was awesome. Can we get back to that? I'm not ready for spring. I will shoot a fucking robin right now.

Definitely starting earlier and earlier each day this high pressure stays. But near noon today it’s still scratchy up-high, corny down-low.

This sucks. MoZ is already getting ridden, and it's a little soft, but honestly, I'm thinking of riding up there tomorrow.

Get my stimmy tomorrow and 2nd shot the 29th. If I take a trip to find some snow, where should I go? Jackson? Tahoe? SLC?
Need to get my passport, so Canada is out.

Don't ride Mo-Z, it's totally muddy after it thaws and getting trashed by assholes who should know better.

Canada is out regardless - border is still closed, even for the vaccinated.
