Tomorrow morning should be very loaded in the meadows if this blizzard warning keeps up.

Good above 7k', so most of the mountain is not. Pre arctic front rain froze things up pretty well.

^ Didn't know you were up there today. I managed to sneak away from work for a quick lunch-break lap.

Rain certainly janked the lower mountain, and things got very dusty-crusty as you descended. Took the traverse around Paradise, and found some nice unskied stashes beneath the cliffs.

If you look for it, the top half of the mountain will reward you.

One and done type of day for me. Snow was not worth the cold, at least it was reasonable cold unlike in town. I think we might be reasonably soft by wednesday(unfortunately I can't be up there tomorrow).

Good to know. Definitely wanna go tomorrow now that the degrees are climbing higher than I can count on just my fingers. I used to ski Moonlight all the time like that, but it was drier. I also paid for it.

Going to try and snag some laps in the afternoon tomorrow if work is manageable. Cat in January should be up there too for the day, since he's road-tripping across the state.

14" and pretty much ski-on lifts all day at Lost Trail. I'm not even mad.

Amazing stability too(30 taps in our pit in the north bowl)!

I am wondering if bowl will open tomorrow, if not Monday could be pretty stellar.

Given the wind and cold, I think we might find the Bowls reset, maybe the windslab swimming pool floor effect. There was a a lot of snow in the trees before it started blowing, I doubt it's there anymore.

Was up in the flathead this weekend, hoping to get some of the storm action at the 'tail. 2 feet of snow and -10F later and they've been closed all weekend. Fack.

So in lieu of skiing, went to the bar stool races in Martin city. Dollar beers, dollar beers everywhere

    This week is looking gooooood.

I was up yesterday with the five-year-old but we only got one lap before the cold got to his feet. I snagged a couple good turns, saw the potential for really nice turns in the bowls. How was it overall?

Higher end supply/clothing/ski shops in Missoula/Kalispell/Whitefish? Places like Schnee's in Bozeman. Thanks.

I don't know what Schnees is, but the TrailHead has the most high end outdoor stuff in Missoula. I believe they don't sell alpine boots/bindings though, only AT and nordic.

The best ski shop, by far, is Gull Ski.

Ok thanks. Looking for places that don't necessarily sell skis, but sell outerwear. Schnee's is pretty high end with lots of quality gear from not your ordinary brands (ie places that only sell TNF, Pata, etc).

Forgot to mention that today at the Bowl was fucking ill. Deepest turns there all year. The windloading in key spots was insane. And there were only like 100 people.

Sportman's Ski Haus in Kalispell & Whitefish might have your answer.

Root, glad to hear that today delivered the goods for you. Will be up there for most of the day tomorrow.

The snow was actually better quality yesterday, it got pretty warm today, but it did not suck. I did two Neffer Neffer Lands to the bike path today, it was good down low. I'm sure there's more to come, because I'm on vacation this week.

Maybe 100 people at opening bell, but the lot was nearly full before the end of the day.

Nothing much in the flathead in terms of high end outerwear. At least not outside of the normal north face / pata / arcteryx kind of brands.

Any reports at Snowbowl today? Lookout had 28" over the last 24 hours. No 'report' even necessary with that.

I am actually curious if people had to be airlifted off the mountain because they were unable to make forward progress in the flats.

Not a bad day today, surprisingly I got a small wind slab to go on west ridge today.
