I hope skiing is recommended on saturday because that's my only chance this week. Hopefully some corn will be harvested.

Sickter powder Wednesday, until the sun made it heavy. There will be some sun crust to deal with early tomorrow, but it is supposed to get up to 40 or so, so it should soften as the day goes on..

COO COO KICHOO,I do not like to ski,I live to ski! Spent the day dying a 1000 deaths. Ten hours of work, followed by a trip to the dentist. Thus the low vibe at the Mt Dumpy.

Oh but no, the vibe was high among the faithful who braved the chicken heads, and then the mashed potatoes, until the snow started to corn up as the temps dropped at the end of the day. Either that or we were all just very, very stoned, or both.

Great day at the Bowl! The Faithful were rewarded with 3 inches, or so (which will be on the report tomorrow, I imagine), of new, as the day progressed. The clods, however, are still there, though not quite as firm.

    Classic Snowbowl variable conditions.

Sweet corn harvest on Griz Chute today, I skied 8 in a row, fuck yeah!

Forecast is for rain tonight, and then nine to fifteen inches of snow by Sunday night.

Today did not suck at The Bowl. The lot was less than a quarter full. After raining top to bottom overnight, four inches of wet snow fell and bonded perfectly. It was the most surprisingly good conditions of a season loaded with better-than-I-woulda-thought days.

Mt. Dumpy delivers a super sleeper Saturday.

Don't let the picture fool you-it's gonna need to snow all week to cover up all the schralping that occurred yesterday,
We shredded that mountain top-to-bottom, end-to-end and back again!

To be honest, the mountain needed a weekend swarm to tamp it down. Now it'll rest a few days settle out and get buried for Thursday.

Saturday was better over all than Sunday, but they were both pretty sweet.

Yep, on Sunday the new snow was much lighter on a hard crust, Saturday however, was heavier snow but on a soft base. It was also awesome to have so few people there, especially on a Saturday, it was more like a Thursday, so you could go back to the same terrain and find only the tracks you left the last time.

Thursday is shaping up to be pretty good. I, being lazy, won't ski until then.

Sunday 11" FRESH at the big mtn, another 12" of cold cold fresh in the last 2 days, the deepest base in 20 years, thank you Ullr. What a difference a year makes. Last year was one of the top 5 worst seasons I've ever seen and this has been one of the top 5 powder seasons I've ever seen. There, I officially jinxed it, oh well, we close Sunday with a 160" base, WTF.
