Just another shitty 0" day at the bowl. There was a funky layer but it could be defeated with speed.

Damn! Driving back from work and it's cleared up enough to reveal an avalanche on mount jumbo. Will try to get a photo of it, but check it out if you can. Near where the 2014 avalanche occurred.

Looks skier-triggered? Remotely?
Or maybe it was the elk.
Either way, 26" today at LT, but the busiest I've seen it, ever.Last edited by RootSkier; 02-28-2019 at 07:51 PM.

East Bowl to Chicken Chutes was surprisingly soft today. It had avoided some of the wind that more thoroughly scoured the West Bowl and Grizzly. I suggest it as your first bowl lap tomorrow assuming no fresh snow. It was quite fun today.

Three inches of new snow bonded nicely onto everything, it was a happy Thursday.

Rode NW shoulder of University Mountain would not recommend the UM approach, but the top part was good however.Gonna try to ski Sentinel direct north gully tomorrow afternoon, on my hike out it seemed super sketchy but it seems where 3 or 4 tracks came out, will investigate from the top.

Yeah, someone skied it. It was someone who used to post here, I think.

Seems like a good time for easy slackcountry, so of course I have a sore throat and just want to sleep.

So, Sunday is St Patrick's day, and it's On3P demo day at Lost Trail. Seriously, that sounds like a good time.
