Also, epic juneuary conditions today. The last 100 yards of paradise was legit corn.

Snuck up for a single lunch break lap today, and I have to agree.
You must've got there after me, since the last 100 yards was somewhere between icy and mashed potatoes. Really the kind of snow that calls softly to you, then threatens to fuck you up without remorse.
June-uary at the bowl.

Praying for the storm to slow a little. Friday might be a day for a late show to work if this plays out in our favor.

Despite the crowds, today was a $$$ refresher for the mountain. Crust got covered pretty well, and the bowls skied well.

I cleared my calendar for tomorrow so now the storm will completely fucking stall out, guaranteed.
In other words, you have me to thank for the angry inch that will be reported.

Checked out Marshall today, might be a more promising access point for effort/fun ratio for eastern Rattlesnakes than Sheep mountain, definitely rather take a 2k vf blue run to get back rather than skin for 5 miles on fs road. I think we are also done with good snow conditions for a few days again, was starting to get really warm in the afternoon, snow is not quite dead yet, but will get there tomorrow with another 40F day.

Happy Friday all.
Looks like we might be getting that needed refreshment up high. From NOAA:
"SNOWFALL AMOUNTS: Widespread 3-6 inches of snow is expected across
the valleys of western Montana. The arctic front is anticipated
to stall and areas under the this boundary can expect moderate to
heavy snow at times with amounts of 8 inches or more possible.
There is not a lot of confidence as to exactly where these higher
amounts are possible due to inconsistencies between models. Right
now the I-90 corridor southward looks to be more favored for
higher snow amounts. This includes the Bitterroot valley and
across southwest Montana and parts of central Idaho, especially
Lolo Pass.
Mountain passes can expect up to a foot of snow."
Taking all of NOAA's forecast with a pinch of salt, the big question now is where that frontal boundary will fall.

I drove out from Iowa for the week and left the ski gear at home. Figured I'd be to busy to hit the hill. As such, Tuesday should be great.
I do have the fat bike with me, Any idea what is riding good?
