That's a nice dryer from Harbour Freight.

My convection boot dryer draws 30W. My portable boot dryer draws 12W. Both heat to around 100F. I have a Peets portable that is 12V and uses a wall wart in the house. It's "in storage" someplace so I don't know it's power consumption.

I just got the one from Harbor Freight mentioned, there's no way I could build a 4-outlet one for less than $30 as I would have to buy the fan and lightbulb socket and timer. If you have all these things already I would say build it.

I tried the HF unit out yesterday on a pair of boots that I literally had to dump the water out of, and they were dry in 2 hours.

$10 5V USB fan from amazon, $5 of 3/4" pex piping, and some scrap laying around the shop. Fan is blowing. Heat only when I leave it next to the heater. Super quiet. Was gonna make it taller, and have poly lines running out and leave the boots flat on the ground, but that was more money. Still pulling the liners out.

Sweet designs. Anyone have any reccommendations for a battery power/no power boot dryer option.. Camper living often lacks electricity after all.

If you only have DC voltage then going with the computer fans that are used in PC desktop cases should be an option as mentioned previously. They are all using DC voltage from the power supply's DC output. You then could use vehicle cigarette lighter socket to supply the power as one option. No power option would have to use solar or something like that. Lower voltage than the internal desktop PC fans would be the previously mentioned USB fans. USB is only 5v DC instead of 12v DC.

"Built in" boot dryer under basement stairs.
Case is scrap plywood.
Tubes are 12" of 1 1/2" pvc set into fitting.
Used metal nut with washers on each side to make sure it holds up to boot weight over time.
Dual high output computer case fans move the air.
Wired into electric w 12 hr timer.
Nicely drys 6 damp boots overnight

Looks good! Since it's already wired for 120 v, I would add a 60W light bulb socket inside. This will only raise the temperature a few degrees above ambient but will lower the relative humidity enough that the boots will be dry hours quicker. And an inexpensive wall timer mounted on the box as an auto shutoff would be an easy way to save a little on electricity.

Salon quality bouffant hair dryer with high low fan and high low heat. A little cobbly looking but super functional.

the fan is pretty loud so i keep it on the balcony or in the garage.

just need the boots inside after six hours otherwise they are cold in the morning

bone dry after 6hrs ventilating in cold air.
