This would have been my first response until you said you didn't care about your chick's commute. Still a good spot for just about everything, and if you want to get downtown regularly.
If you only care about work and skiing, I'd recommend somewhere off of 9400 between 1300 E and Highland. If I remember right, dfinn lives somewhere around there. The commute out to WJ on 209 will not be bad at all, and you have quick access to LCC. I'm at 1300 E and Draper Pkwy, and it's 21 minutes from my driveway to the Bird if I get my ass out of bed early enough.
As mentioned earlier, the one advantage of living on the west side is that housing will be cheaper.

In HS we used to go do hot laps in the pow around the local ward building. Doin huge powerslides into the lawn and donuts in the parking area. Good times!
The other good trick in huge snow was to drive down the hill at popperton park up above 11th ave and shriners hospital. That'll give you a rush.
Now I am old and don't do as much stupid shit.sigless.

I OBJECT. I'll have you know our bar fridge is fully stocked with Miller High Life in Camo cans.
Bear's and Gowboy are on a mission win the cruiser (and/or bowling shirts-more likely) by collecting enough MHL points by FEB. I think they need help.
btw, sorry i missed your call last night.. maybe later?current ventures:

Seriously, Buzz - you need to STFU.
The High Life, man. The High Life.

No one tells me to STFU and lives to tell about it. I know where you live one week a year!
