Cue S n P video.
But seriously, Terry from slidewright.com has a bunch of great info. Briko-Maplus Race Base Medium is a great, relatively cheap choice that lasts a long time."Alpine rock and steep, deep powder are what I seek, and I will always find solace there." - Bean Bowers

The fact he bumped a thread that contains info like “they sell wax that comes in Videocassette sized blocks” is so awesome.
Maybe use your yellow pages book to see if there is any local wax stores.

Just use whatever smells best. (or ask to see if they'll let you taste it before you buy)

The thing about waxing is this--the only people who need anything more than the most basic equipment and supplies aren't asking about it on the internet; they're learning it from their coaches. (That doesn't mean it's not possible to fuck up--using a spring wax on a cold day for example.)

Im looking to pick up a cheap larger block of wax for next year. Im debating between Hertel (Super Hot or Racing 739?) and Oneball F1 all temp. Should i just choose whats cheaper per gram?
Im in utah if that makes any difference. Im planning on picking up additional cold temp(under 12 deg) wax as well. Ive been using the toko all in one which was great but there are no deals out there.

The Kuu universal red is a good deal, $16 and change for 500g (videocassette sized) bar at Utah Ski Gear. Or $50 for 4 bars/2 kg.
Technically not all temp, off the top of my head the label on the box says it's good up to 26 or 28 deg F, but I've had good results with it well into the 30s and it's fairly durable.
Good bang for your buck as far as name brand wax goes.
Bonus points for being red.
