AUDI TT coupe badass snow car??
its got quattro all wheel drive and a turbo and looks sweet. Usually its just me heading up to meet friends. Throw a rack on it and some blizzaks and I would think it would be a kick ass snow car.
Thoughts?

Without winter tires, it sucks in the snow. AWD or not.

wassup Yoss. Sorry Ive been MIA lately. Definitely need to meet up with you and the rest of the denver crew sometime.
Im definitely thinking of getting something more plush to endure another year of I-70. Something in the quattro family sounds sweet.
Also thinking of renting a small studio somewhere past Eisenhower....Frisco or Minturn Etc. for a 6 month lease. Keys will be made. Also many road trips/plane trips planned already for squaw. My cousin has a house there now.
Hopefully this year will be deep.

it definitely works with snow tires on it, as its based on the A4 chassis. Only issue is interior space really.

I hear ya on the i-70.
I might be interested in an occasional use of a summit co crash space...don't know if I could be counted on to need a place for lots of weekends, but maybe I could fill a partial share if you're interested in splitting a few ways...I know another dood who might be in the same boat...
BTW, some TGR peeps and non-TGR peeps are gonna try to git together laters somewhere. My gf comes in from Chicago around 9, we're headed out after that. Buddy and his gf are headed to rockies game and then meeting us after that...Not gonna coordinate a "thing", but I'll post where I'm headed and maybe we'll see you two..?
Right now, thinking about the Pourhouse...15th/16th and Blake or thereabouts. Might be 15th/16th and Wyncoop.. etc
See ya, perhaps!Thrutchworthy Production Services

4 blizzaks and a quattro will always be the sticky way to go in the snow. You may enjoy it in the twisties come summertime as well.
If you're looking for room for just one other person and
-some- gear it'll be perfect. If you're traveling light, it's the right car. You will run out of room quickly though. Personally too small for me.

Dude if you want a turbo 4wd car get an audi s4.http://www.nordicaudi.com/arkivet/bi...-kent_larsson.

I am sorry, this board is obsessesed with one ugly ass car. Avant's are for grandma's. Get the sedan, it may not have as much room, but it has enough room and you won't look like a soccer mom.
I'm in a band. It's called "Just the Tip."

s4 avant or the allroad? Hmmm. I think thats the real choice. Yeah the TT coupe looks limiting.

all my friends think I'm crazy because I love wagons. They're useful and I think better looking than most sedans. Especially the WRX wagon vs. sedan, which is what I want real bad right now (doesn't help that my dad has one and rubs it in my face all the time).

The TT is actually based on the Golf not the A4. IIRC, there's a new TT coming around in the next couple of years. Some versions have a funky new manu-matic paddle shift transmission that apparently preloads the next gear and makes for very quick gear changes.
It's not very practical and hard to see out of 'cause it has the biggest C-pillars on earth. Great interior though. Exterior is kinda dated to me, and it looks like a "chick" car (a la SLK).
I'd get an S4 over a TT in a heartbeat.

hey E,
I'm also looking at renting a place up in Summit land for this season. I have rented a room from some friends for the last 2 years but that is not an option this year. PM me if you want to discuss a shared joint & maybe save some $$.I think I'm going mad.

I prefer saloon's to anything else. When a saloon comes along beating pony cars I pop, like, 17 boners...
