If Loveland was on a Winter Park, Copper, Steamboat pass would you buy it?

    Hypothetically-
Intrawest pass w/loveland vs. a vail resorts pass.
    Who would win?

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle

I would buy both. I still think vail would win though...

    Totally depends where you live.
Vail resorts pass is good for Vail/BC and AB in the Spring.
As far as I'm concerned, gapestone and breck blow, so they don't count.
Copper blows too, so it doesn't count.

Steamboat is probably better than Vail and BC when you add in Fish Creek.

Winter Park? So-so if you ask me. Not as good as the boat or vail/bc.

Vail/boat/bc good when the snows good.
Loveland? Snows always good with so-so terrrain.

    Wait, what's the question?

Let's see, Intrawest CM, ST, WP ultimate pass ~ $1050 w/o Loveland, Epic pass to the Veil empire is $579.

Intrawest sketchy as an operator and they screw the homies in Steamboat for $979 or so for their mountain pass AND these WPs and CM showing up for their 6 free days at Steamboat is a pita.

Nah, leave well enough alone. Loveland's a ski area, the rest are ski resorts run by corporate morons. There's nothing good in this for Loveland and the rest of us...........

Only if I couldn't buy just the loveland pass. Copper is great for early season carving, I have no oppinion either way on WP, and Steamboat can lick my sack.

Loveland/WP with 6 days at Steamboat would be my dream pass. Copper's an OK bonus, but it wouldn't be a deciding factor for me.
Price that at $320 or less and you've given the Front Range weekenders a viable alternative to the 5 mountain pass. It probably doesn't sway anybody living west of SuCo.

I'd probably buy it, however doing so would destroy what appeal LL has - a decent area without any people. Load it onto another megapass and it'll be overrun and immediately suck.

Definetly agree with Bean on this one. I bought a loveland pass to avoid the vail hordes this year. Although I wouldn't have minded a Copper pass on top of it, but bank accounts only stretch so far....
Eitheir way I'd like to see loveland remain indie.

really the only reason to go to loveland is to ski with friends on a basically empty mountain. there is neither the infrastructure or terrain to have 2-3x the skier visits.

This might be the least hordy year in a while. Granted, we'll still have to deal with the Bogners but I think there will be a LOT less bluejeans.

i would buy it but one of the best things about loveland is that there are no crowds, even early season and this might change that and that would suck big time.

I've long had the Copper/Jane (and recently added Steamboat days as they were introduced) pass, but have always said I'd love it if there were at least Loveland days on the pass. Maybe a partnership like A-Basin does with Vail, but not an ownership.

But Saturday was a good example why I wish it doesn't come true. All the Colorado/Epic pass folks were jamming up half the run-length over at the Basin, while I lapped 'em at Loveland since it's indie.

I talked to Bean about this on Sunday and I agree with him that it would kill the loveland appeal. I wouldn't mind seeing it loaded on a pass with some other similar smaller areas though.

I usually buy both the Copper\WP pass and the Vail 5 mountain pass, as well as a couple of Loveland 4 packs. So if Loveland was included in the Copper & WP pass that'd be even better.

I have little desire to ski Loveland. Now a Copper, WP, Boat, BC pass would be sweet, but would obviously never happen. That would be my dream CO pass.

But the original question of would I buy a Copper/WP/Boat/LL pass were it to exist, no, but I would have one per extraneous reasons.

To the original ?, yes I would buy if offered. But, I agree completely with wrecking the LL vibe. Just take a peek at the webcams on any given day. 3-5x the peeps at A-basin. I buy the pass for WP, and ski Copper when friends "want to" and the 6 days at the Boat are bonus.

NO! Loveland is the bomb for no crowds and good snow that lasts all day! I get the five mountain for the AB steeps and the vail/bc. Any more AB is getting crowded too. After three seasons with the loveland pass it becomes my go to more and more! Just my 3 cents.
