I need to get out for sure! The kids rode some on new years but I haven't ridden at all this year yet despite the reports of deepness in the central sawatch. Really itching to smell like 2 stroke exhaust again...

2020 850 is fire! Bet you're loving that!

Been getting out some, not enough to make the itch go away.
Narrowed the front end and threw a longer track on her.
Seem to get better on each ride funny how much easier and less of a work out it is when the snow is good vs shit.

I usually only use my machine to groom trails, but sometimes it's a lot of fun

hope this is an ok post.

I have a remote cabin that has a mile road and i have a 500 yard driveway. I have a 2009 rmk TRAIL sled 550 (1.25" lugs) that I got stuck in about 4 feet of powder because I don't know how to ride a sled and that sled is probably severely undergunned for those conditions.

Anyway I'm looking for a pow sled and I am cheap. Mostly looking for 2012 and newer, lower miles (yeah right ) and under $5k. Would be my first pow sled.

Buddy came to me with this. 2009 RMK 700, 155 track. Always garage stored and 503 miles for $2000. Hasn't really ridden it since 2012 and has been run yearly since. Ideally i'd like newer but this seems like a good deal.

I don't know a lot about Polaris but a buddy has a 2009 Dragon 800 that I've ripped around on a bit, and it was a pretty capable sled. Not quite a easy to turn in pow as my 14 XM but pretty good. For 2k with low miles seems like a solid deal?
That said any sled is pretty easy to get stuck in 4ft of unconsolidated pow. Best thing you can do for your cabin situation is build your road early and keep putting tracks on it regularly.

Yeah, at that price if you don't like it I'm sure you can flip in for what you bought it for or more. Around me clapped out early 00s trail sled seem to still go for almost 2k.

Agreed with all the above, $2k for a low mileage babied mtn sled, even if carbureted, is a decent deal.

That said, that’s an expensive trail packer for 2.5km of access. Hope it sees more action than packer duty.

oh yeah it's an excuse to buy a pow sled, was a hard justification to the wife until I got our sled stuck and now it's a safety issue

thanks everyone, looks like we have a deal.

Don't bother imo. You want a 2016 or newer axys if you actually want to get after it. 163 ... you will be just as stuck in 4ft of pow on the 09 155 as you currently are. The difference is night and day and now that the matrix has come out everyone is dumping their axys for cheap. I've watched friends that I ride with go from stuck monsters to very capable riders overnight switching from old tech to new.

Why though? What specifically is great about the axys vs anything else prior?
