I imagine you'll be able to unload it before then, but if you still have it in about a month, I may be interested. Need to move my old sled and figure out some other things before I can buy.

Hoping to get rid of it soon, as I have a new one on the way. (Hopefully...)

Got the new sled out yesterday, and I have a finger throttle on it. I think it will help on left side sidehills a fair bit. Overall I like it, especially as a lighter person with mediocre skills that reefs around on the bars a lot but it's not a huge game changer. But yeah the forearm pump is real when you're cruising around on roads. Thought I'd have an advantage with how much I use an angle grinder at work, but nope!

I had fingers throttles on both my sleds and won’t ride anything else. It’s just easier to hang onto the bars and ride in every condition for me. I tried the thumb throttle but couldn’t hold on consistently with my fingers.

I find the biggest downside to the FT is really cold days, not long distance whoops or sitting, or anything else really. I think it really improves riding whoops. like you said above it improves gripping the handlebars. Feels like riding a mountain bike with the 2 levers. I also run a chainsaw for a living so a finger throttle feels pretty natural. It’s worth trying one to see if you like it.

Anyone selling ski racks for an ‘18 RMK pro? Would love to give a mag cash vs opportunists that charge $400 for $4 of plastic.

I doubt it makes a difference for basic side hilling, other than personal preference for using thumb v. index finger for throttle modulation. I have an older XP w/ a 2.5" track and a G4 w/ a 3" track. There are plenty of situations where the 2.5" is easier to sidehill because you can spin the track way more easily. The 3" takes more finesse in thin pow over hardpack. I also wonder how the finger throttle is when you have to ride 10 miles of whooped out trail, and when when you're sitting.
I also jumped from an XP with a 2.5" track to a G4 with a 3" track. Both my friend and I were on SP 165s, mine was a 2018 and his was a 2019 or 2020 so nearly the same sled. My wife was riding a 2020 Expert last year and I had some time on her sled back to back with mine too. I also got to spend some time in spring mank on a Lynx. I think I had a good chance to compare a few different similar sleds with and without a finger throttle and very much prefer it but it isn't a magic bullet and has compromises.

The day that I jumped on a buddy's sled with a finger throttle was deep, cold pow, no hardpack underneath that we were finding. I noticed the same preference with my own sled before and after swapping to the finger throttle on my sled and also comparing my sled against my wife's sled. I think the difference is that the thumb wrap makes me more stable on the bars and I have finer/faster motor control with my index finger than I did with my thumb.

Yes, 10 miles of whooped out trail to get to the zone sucks; that's not just the finger throttle but it does make it worse. Most years I do a fair amount of rock climbing and mountain biking so my fingers are usually pretty tough but lots of trail riding is still tiring.

My finger did get cold after a long day, but those were rare days. Because of stability (and why pass by good pow) we rarely have long enough days when it’s cold enough for my finer to get cold.

There are heated finger throttle options if that’s a deal breaker for you. Can’t say how well they work, but they are out there.

Speaking of CFR Racks - I ordered this back in October and was delivered this week - this is the new Link it Up 2.0 Large rack, that attaches with the skidoo linq system and then the board/ski 2.0 brackets on each side. No, its not cheap, but, this thing is clearly quality and most importantly, purpose built. No more fucking around with ski straps and bungee's and checking on skis every few min so to me that's worth it. I may invest in a lock for one of the linq brackets to keep this from 'walking' away when parked for sled ski missions. Some up close pictures so you can get an idea of how this fits on a 163 track. I still need to adjust the ski angle which can be done by raising or lowering the brackets and also the pole placement, but this gives an idea.

Hot damn - hot looking setup and that is a long rack Looks like a 15? Funny how that rig makes the track look short!

Looks like they have made some great changes on that version. Changing angles would be sweet. Not sure when I'll replace as they last forever!

For sure. Forgot to mention that this thing is respectably light for how it’s built too.

Yep it’s 2015, good eyes. Forgot to mention that the dentist skis are 178cm length too for reference

Low tide here in the sawatch. Spent yesterday fixing little stuff and trying to run some gas thru the equipment so that we'll be ready when the snow does finally show up.

Old dirty 600 triple (aka the green bastard) is fighting me tooth and nail but I'm not taking no for an answer.
