Any reports from the shitshow?
So....any word from the WROD? Camera phone pics? Patrol first-aid room pics? I-70 spinout pics?
If anyone has anything from A-Basin or Loveland post it here. Was curious if Loveland bumped to 8:15 to claim the title after A-Basin matched their 8:30 start time.

I just got back from the always fun WROD. It wasnt too bad, got there around 845, the line at the time was not bad at all but it got exponentially worse as the day wore on, we only made 3 laps to get back in time for class. Snow was actually not terrible at first, got a little icy after the first two laps. Pretty crowded, park was very crowded with all the morons hiking the two rails they set up, so I bypassed that/waited for my friends to get their jib fix in for the day. Im guessing tomorrow will not be nearly as crowded, but I will not be there.

No lines at Loveland. The snow was perfect. Too much fun. Lots of nice friends around too.
I have the biggest insanity pics in my camera, but already promised them to a journalist, so I can't really post them here.Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

BTW at loveland someone fell off the lift around 10:30 or so. We went over him right after it happened and he said he was ok. Dude was really lucky there was no snow where he fell all rock and it had to be 20 some feet, but he seemed ok. Just thought this applies to the shit show first day stuff

adam and I were in the chair in front of him. He was hanging there from tower 4 to tower 8 (almost half the total chair distance) and he finally couldn't keep his grip any more and dropped to the ground. I thought it was 25-30 feet onto a boneyard. But he walked away.
I have pics, but promised them to eastvailhucker's wife - I'll post them up if she doesn't use them.Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

Worked in the AM and got to A-basin at 1:15 yersterday. Never waited longer than 7 or 8 minutes. By 2:30 there were hardly any liftline at all. Lapped the "park" and hit some rails. Fun day. May head up this afternoon.

Not even!
Ok, here are the pics from the chair incident. For a long time he hung on with his arm wrapped around the chair like this:
He could only see behind/below him for all that time. I guess his arms gave out because for a few seconds he was dangling by his hands like this:
And then he dropped. It's like Where's Waldo, but he's on the ground a few feet from the tower. Impacted like a hip check, which was good, I guess:
And he was sitting up right away and responsive, so that was a good sign.
This is a maggot skiing, can't think who - maybe EastVailHucker?
Phish said 7 or 8 minute lift lines at A Basin. NONE at Loveland, and by the latter part of the day the snow has some fun variations in it.
